what tires will fit.

Will 16s Fit?
I have a set on rims new that are taking up dust which I am planning on using sometime, They are 16 x 4. I need to know if I get tires size: 205/45/16R, will these tires fit without rubbing? Will this affect the wheel diameter? Will it make the TPMS misread?

What will fit the FIT?
hi Jim, just want to ask what set of tires and rims shall i consider to make my ride look lowered without chaging the springs. We are not allowed to modify our ride as open compare in other countries.
I'm planning also to purchase side skirts and to change my front and rear bumpers.
thanks!

I have a question I want to get rims that are measured at 16x7 with +38 offset. will 205/45/R16 tires rub on stock suspension? If so do you think getting the wheels in 15x7 +38 with 195/55/r15 be better?

But first a 4" wide rim is way too narrow for a 205 tire. Check TireRack specs for allowed wheel widths.
We have mounted several Fits with 205 tires (and 225) and any offset less than 42 mm is certain to rub if the wheel is at least 5" wide. However, if your car is lowered then 45 mm is minimum for a tire diameter of 23.5". Go bigger and increase the offset accordingly.

You can install larger tires so the gap is reduced without buying springs. That will raise your FIT off the ground. Look at 205/60x15 or 185/70x15.
Just be sure you maintain the 55 mm offset or close. And yes it will screw up your odometer and speed readings (you'll be going faster and farther than they read).
And boy will it deteriorate your acceleration times. A lot.

sorry I don't know much about this

What throws off the speedometer and odometer is the overall height of the tires. The wheel does not do anything. You will also throw off the gear ratio and shift points on the car. I would not recommend using taller tires. To eliminate the gap do it right and lower the car a little.
If I can help let me know.

The specific tire and alignment specs can make a tire rub or clear. Not every tire is exactly the same size. If you are running a little more negative camber and the tires are on the narrow side you have a better chance of not rubbing.
