Depends on whether or not my friend who lives in Sugarland will have a bed for me that night. They just had a baby, so I'm thinking not.

We'll see though. This may, or may not, be compatible with my schedule. Of course, I'd enjoy meeting all of you, and hope to, sporadically, over the next years I own the Fit.

Probably won't see me going anywhere, since I'm more interested in having two cars now, and will choose either the Fit, or the other car to modify heavily. Either way, I'm keeping the Fit. It still looks years ahead of the competition, and even with some of the new concepts from Detroit - I'm not worried.

I'm considering buying another car in the future so I can play with the Fit more.. It's going to be under the wrench a lot in the coming years.... It's not for the time being so I will be there if nothing pops up to prevent me from doing so.

Cool. Just post up a head count with the amount of people coming in the SI group a few days in advance of the meet so we can have enough food and drinks.

Thread update: Went checked out the park a earlier in the week and snapped a few pics in the process. There are plenty of parking spaces at the park itself as well as 2 small pavilions and one large pavilion with restroom facility right by it. There is also a play area for kids if anyone decides to bring their children if they have any.

Meet is 3 weeks and 1 day away.

Please follow the link below to see the pictures of the park. I did not want to downsize the pics and risk reduce the clarity of them.

Just a heads up. I've been keeping an eye on the weather forecast for the 13th and it seems that it is a 60% chance of rain that day. Of course, the 13th is ten days away from today and the weather forecast could change before hand.

So my fingers are crossed that the forecast changes... If it doesn't change we may be hording under the large pavilion.

Also, I will update this thread in a bit with screen shots of where to park at the Pearland Town Center and directions to get there once you pass Beltway 8.

@ JCrimson: Do you have a head count of the SI drivers yet?

How much money should I bring to cover whatever needs to be covered? Please don't expect me to cover all of the cost... I would gladly do so if I wasn't poor mutant inbred white trash and had cash but at least let me help out... Not all Texans are free loading conservatives you know.

Since the majority of you all will be heading south on 288 I took a few screen shots of an easier route into PTC so you don't have to hassle with Pearland traffic.

Once you go pass the Sam Houston Parkway/Beltway 8 underpass (highlighted in yellow) continue south on 288 until you reach the exit for County Road 59/Airline Ft. Bend Rd. You will pass the town center your right prior to the exit.

Once you pass the town center, take the County Road 59/Airline Ft. Bend Rd. exit and take a right at the intersection. This will have you going west on CR59. Stay on CR59 until you reach Kirby Drive at which point you make a right onto it. There is a sign stating that it leads to the Pearland Town Center, keep an eye out for it.

Head north on Kirby until you reach the red light by Goodyear (I think) Tire Center. Make a right at the light and another right at the tire shop then continue straight until you see us parked near the palm trees in the orange highlighted area.

No worries on cash. It would be nice if some helped by bringing paper plates, napkins, utensils, drinks, or more food. Just mark what you bring by your name in the list if you do bring something.

We're going to do some burgers and sausages up for the day. I need to make a list of what to get.

Hey all, sorry for not updating more often this week (internet issues/class) but the meet will go on as planned Sunday.

The actual time to meet at the Pearland Town Center is at 11:00 AM; however, I'll be arriving earily around 10:40 AM to 10:50 AM in the highlighted area on the map and hanging around my GD waiting for other members to show up.

At 11:45, or when everyone is present, we will head out to Brazos River County Park for the cook out. The address is 3035 County Road 30, Angleton, TX 77515, it is located on the map west of Angleton, on the west side of FM 521 near a town titled "Holiday Lakes".

We should arrive at the park around 12:15 PM.

I'll be a little bit busy knocking some of the looser crud off of my beater today.... Big Jake, my 14 year old redneck neighbor/ grease monkey/ bodyguard will be accompanying me... He's a good kid and really like a big teddy bear I didn't sleep well and moving slow right now so I need more coffee and a soak in a hot tub of water ..... Please tell me anything you think we will need that I could bring.... How about some locally grown and made Jalapino wine?

Jalapeņo wine sounds good but its not allowed on site at the park. Sorry, park rules not mine.

How about a 12-pack (or two) of sodas or maybe bring something you cooked with you?
