Texas Fits, Anything goes thread

^^ Nice to know that you're finally enjoying your Fit again. I've been tempted to get a Beatrush under panel or fab one up but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Does it have to be removed to access the oil drain plug and filter or are there pre-cut doors that slide out of the way?

The Fit is still on jack stands with a lot of things needing to be serviced, installed, figured out and fabricated... The Beatrush panel will be the last to be installed.. The heavy rain has washed out my driveway, trees and limbs have crashed down on my barn and the other structures so I have been trying to straighten that mess up.. @Hootie The Beatrush panel has to be removed to change oil but it doesn't look difficult... Polaski posted a thread about it a few years back....

No more than I drive these days I won't be needing to do much in the way of servicing my Fit.. I have put less then 42 thousand miles on it since getting it new in July 2006.

Update. Last week my engine mount broke from the timing chain case. The stud broke and a piece of aluminum broke from the casing. Apparently there's a design flaw in the rear stud into the casing where it doesn't sit snug in the hole. It kind of just wiggles around. Anyways, for any GD owners, periodically check if those nuts are tight so it doesn't break. Just saying from experience lol.

Its been a long time everyone.
I just want to say happy birthday to everyone who has/had a birthday this month with me. I miss the old days of Texas Fit meets.
I hope everyone is well.
In honor of TBT here is a picture of the cake from the February BBQ we had.

I'm still around. Was on a brief trip to Phoenix over New Year's and was amazed at their beautiful streets and roads. Compared with Houston...well, there was no comparison. It's like off-roading here. I'm getting really good at evasive driving to avoid potholes that seem to crop up almost daily. And the street repairs are almost WORSE than the potholes!
I'm disgusted at how many parking lot dings my baby has collected over the years. It's like a magnet for careless idiots. Doesn't matter if I park in the farthest reaches of the lot, someone always finds me. Are there just so many Fit-haters out there?
Also, this will be the LAST dark-colored car I ever buy...WAY too much maintenance involved in trying to keep the exterior presentable. I wash it, it rains. I wash it, rains. Repeat ad nauseum.

You mean some of the highways are nice. 635 is the most problematic highway atm. Tollways though, most are decent. I still avoid both finding it faster on the small roads.
