Yeah, the classroom time is about 1/3 of what you do in HS but the outside work is like x 4! You may not be in class that much but you def. make up for it in your "free" time. The last 2 years I was in college I never read a magazine, a newspaper, or any book that wasn't one of my textbooks. I was living in the world of school and that was all.

And I will never forget once I graduated, and put down my backpack, I felt like I was walking around completely naked b/c I had been carrying a backpack for YEARS at that point and it was totally weird not having one.

What's your major?

That how my first semester was whenever I was knocking out all of my electives; it was ridiculously time consuming. I'm going for a degree in Automotive Technology, then later on I may try to specialize in a certain aspect in automotive.

What was your's?

BA in English. Linguistics concentration. I probably would have gone on for a Master's but the college didn't have the degree program I wanted. Their linguistics Masters was English as a Second Language and I'm more interested in neurolinguistics (how we learn language via the brain).

Haven't done a damn thing with the degree except raise 2 kids and edit a few papers and what-not along the way. It looks good framed though!

I like practical degrees.

All of you educated people impress me.... I am a high school dropout that passed the GED 2 years before I would have graduated and went to Vietnam and was back and released from active duty in time to start college with the same people I would have graduated with.... I never finished a degree program because I was crazy and didn't realize it and changed majors every semester.... I took a lot of psychology, sociology and human development courses and started working in the mental health field becoming supervisor of a behavior modification ward at a state hospital in a couple of years surpassing two SMU graduates with masters degrees I had worked with in the beginning..... Then I went crazy and briefly became a model and it has been a strange and disturbing life every since..... You can only fake being alright for so long and then the strange gets weird and the weird gets stranger.....It's been interesting.

hell Coyote, no amount of degrees can buy you a lick of common sense...some of the most educated people around are the STUPIDEST and nastiest arrogant people you could meet...On the job training is always the best...And The University of Life teaches us all the REAL lessons in the end.

I had a best friend in high school who dropped out 2 mos before graduation...I was aghast at him but he just knew he couldn't take it any more. He was an artist and had just had all the life taken out of him over the years by the system...He did get his GED and did all kinds of things, including 4 years in the AF.

And FYI, it took me 10 years to get my 4 year degree...I worked most of the time, and already had a 2 year old and my 2nd was 5 mos. cooked...I'm glad I did finish b/c if I'd stopped then, I'd never have gone back.

Would love to have a beer with you sometime and hear your stories. I get along with the mentally ill just fine. Been down some dark pathways myself.

Agree with JCrimson. Coyote's a pretty cool dude, appears to have been through a lot in his life and is wiser from it. I hope to say the same when I'm your age, Coyote.

Took off the rear garnish today to have Jim from Rogue do it in CF and delete the wiper hole for me. Looks weird, but I guess it's okay like it is right now for a while til I get the piece back. I just taped off all the clips where any water might get in. Hope no one tries to mess with it.

I'll tell ya what, learning a foreign language was one of the hardest things I ever did. But in a weird, normal, frustrating, relaxing, hard, easy kind of way...

To be honest I have no way of describing it.

I understand, I was rubbing and a little with the stock tires. I always winced every time I went over bumps at high speeds. With the +45 I'm trouble free!

Damn today was a good day. I just got back from a local gymkhana event and rode in Saved's ITR for a few runs. That dude definitely has some skills behind the wheel.
