I vote for "Underground Fit Forum" as opposed to "Unofficial Honda Fit Forums".

It says the same thing without saying unofficial.

unofficial forum driven by those who drive them, something to be proud of

I'm very upset Honda would threaten the legal hammer to alienate its own customers. Are their sales so through the roof they need to knock them down a bit? If that's so I don't need to recommend the H anymore, the T works just as well.

This drove me away from Ford permanently

Blame the people that would somehow find a way to sue Honda because they didn't know Fitfreak.net wasn't OFFICIALly associated with Honda. Honda's just trying to cover their a**.

My other car is a Nissan Xterra. The "big" Xterra forum is Xterra Owners Club [ Welcome ] . Although it wasn't "official" it was loved by Nissan. In the early days of the Xterra we were considered a "test group" and had lots of influence on changes made to the Xterra. Nissan used pictures from the members in their advertising. Nissan even hosted an annual plant tour for us. Never any hassles, only lots of love from Nissan.

Same on my snowmobile forum, as moderator I get to test prototypes 6-24 months before they are put into production.

Not really a big deal, manufacturers are very protective of their trademarks. All the forums cave into this, manufacturers can outspend ANY forum owner lawyer wise, a thousand to one. So you change whatever their gripe is and go along your merry way as it really does not affect anything.

I think it is still pretty petty of Honda to force them to put "Unofficial" into the name.

lol, you are in the right place then! Have you checked out the Smart forums at all Guinness? Illusive can probably send you some links, I know he was pretty active on them before.

haha, most of our local club has all moved on now from Fit's. Our last meet was all non-Fits! I had to bring out the Hummer just to fit in! I have to say that most Fit owners move onto some pretty nice cars after though.

I went on club smart car... Virtually no activity on local bc forum, and hardly any diy. I try to stir some interest by promoting group buy and meet & greet... So far it's only me and benggolf.

I'm just glad I'm part of the ff, unofficial or not =P

Gotta ask Guiness, why did you switch to the Smart Car? No power and this YouTube - Mercedes S-Class vs. Smart
