DIY air duct. <$10

This is all you really need
Only needed if you dont want metal threads touching your bumper What do i need this for?
Just the cap
See where im going with this?
Perfect fit. Wrap electrical tape around the cap and lightly hammer it into the hole. It'll end up being snug

The felt gliders are good because when pressure is being applied to the hood, it's not too much stress on the bumper

Does plugging up the resonator make an audible difference in terms of sound quality?
My new Tanabe muffler does an excellent jpb cancelling the wheezing noises from the engine bay... but I feel like this engine is still to quiet.

^^^ it def helps, give it a try! its a quick and easy mod to do. you can test it out for yourself by putting duct tape over the hole that leads downward

Just an FYI, this is only applicable to 2018 MY.
The air intake duct (parts 3,4) as well as separator assembly (parts 1,7) are different for 2015-17 vehicles.

PN's for the duct assembly are indeed diff ... but the diagram shows they are identical. That said, this mod the OP did, should work fine for 2015-2017s.

Parts 1, 7 appear to scoop air from the grille area upward into the duct, with the mod that would technically bypass the need for all the below as, the air now scoops from the hood area (similar to a seminole ram air duct)

I'll be testing it out within the next few days

decrease heat soak, more consistent performance, or even increased performance.

cooler air has more oxygen (dense)

Does the rubber rectangular hose just pull off of the bottom half of the filter box (the lower part that has the resonator)? I was tugging at it last night and it felt like there was something holding it on there. I didn't want to pull too hard.

So I just drilled holes in my grill to the right of the Honda badge lmao to get more air till I make a carbon fiber piece to rivet in place ( still not sure if it’s worth the effort to make it till I get a small race radiator )
