What did you do to your GK Fit today?
#1301
Curios... Do you find it more distracting to now see the arm in the rear view mirror? That would be my reservation for doing this mod.
#1302
Not at all. You can definitely see it, but it doesn't block anything. I would say that having the rear seat headrests up is by far more distracting and those get left up all the time when I'm hauling people around
#1303
is that suppose to look cool? i mean it looks like you shut off your car with your wiper running and the wiper stopped in that position. lol
for us in the snow belt states scraping ice off the rear glass with the wiper in that position is going to be pretty annoying.

If I'm not mistaken, the modification is done for aesthetics and to alleviate dust settling on the rear wiper blade.

I don't know how you do it, but whenever I need to scrape my glass (which is often here in WI), I lift the wipers away anyway. If anything, this position will hold less snow and may receive more benefit from the defroster.

When I hear about this mod, people are usually talking about the wiper holding less stuff on it, that includes snow. Though in my case (Southern California), it's just dust. Also I did it because I like how it looks

i just take the scraper and scrape horizontally along the length of the glass. ill probably end up breaking the wiper if that thing was sitting there on the glass or poke myself in the eye while i have it lifted off the glass.

I can already tell just from my morning commute the throttle response is better from low to mid. I haven't really done anything high speed yet, but I have to pick up my parents tonight to take them to the airport and I can go faster out where they are. It's also higher elevation so we'll see how the car reacts.

My car is a commuter car, so it never stays clean long enough that dust on the wiper is a major concern. I don't see past the thousands of bug splats on the front end.

All wired to interior lighting circuit that lights up when unlocking and goes dim after locking or starting the car.
1) Lower grille LED strip.
2) LED strip on hitch for rear underglow.
3) LED strip in center console cup holders.

so far it doesnt, but i actually bought a splitter so i can use up to 3 obd2 devices (havent tried yet) but should be able to mount the dongles in a better area. Slushie goes into the cupholder next to our steering wheel and window

Just be aware I saw someone else mentioned that even though there is a splitter, they could only get one device working at a time. Not sure if it was due to the splitter or their particular OBDII devices.

Today I realized I was stupid for assuming the dealer I got my used 2015 from had changed the air filter. I saw the oil life was at 90% and figured they did routine maintenance to get it ready for sale- and then I saw the dirtiest air filter I've ever seen this morning, so bad I could see the contamination bleeding through to the upper surface.
Ten minutes and two car parts stores later (Autozone doesn't bother stocking it, apparently), a new filter went in and my trip to work was up by 3 mpg.

This weekends I had my best friend come over while I was cleaning my garage and after one too many beers I ended taking this picture at 3am, right before ending the night
