Paint damage, what would you use?

I have this paint wear from my shoes rubbing when I get in the car. Other than the illuminated door sill, what would you use once you got the paint replaced and clear coated? Does Honda have a non illuminated version?

Thanks!

I might talk to a linex or rhino lining guy, see what they would charge to spray the sills. Linex is better for a sill but a good rhino guy can do a linex like spray finish as well. I am thinking about getting the back interior done when the cheap carpet gets ripped.

You can also get various paints that attempt to duplicate the spray linings, but none of the ones I tried were that good. On the flip side they were a lot cheaper and easy to touch up.

After you have the damage sanded and painted, a paint protective film such as Star Shield Armor or 3M/Scotchguard film should protect it well from your feet. Ask at a window tinter if you want it professionally installed.

you can just buy a small roll of clearbra on amazon and apply it yourself. it's real easy to do, spray some soapy water and squeegee out the solution.

Clearbra/expel, etc... Thats exactly what I did on my Fiesta ST. I bought some after market door sills for the Fit to reduce the scraping.

Ok what about the paint tho, my Honda dealer is saying they don't sell it in a spray paint form. Just those stupid pens. If I apply it with a pen I think it will look chunky. Anyone ever ordered a third party spray paint? If so from where?

I've ordered touch-up spray paint for my 25 year old sports car from

Automotive Touch Up Paint from PaintScratch - Order Pro Grade Paint - PaintScratch.com

You give them the paint code and they mix it up.

They provide a metallic test card so that you can spray the paint onto it and compare it to your car. If it's not correct they will re-mix. A "Color Match Guarantee"

I've never needed to send a batch back, though.

++++++++++++

A similar company is

Touch Up Paint and Accessories | AutomotiveTouchup

They have received testimonials from other users. I haven't used them, though.
