Finally had nice enough weather this weekend to do some upgrades and get my car out of winter mode! Put the CF Seibon hood and Koenig feathers back on, installed the CF cowel scoop I picked up last fall, installed the throttle body spacer to go with the r18 throttle body I put in last weekend, and upgraded the brakes to EBC slotted rotors and EBC green stuff pads.. And I've got more goodies on the way ;-)

Nice Chris! Love the updates!

A couple of updates: I changed my oil today, mounted a new tire (front left was worn), and got a few Arc Magic cooling fins for cheap.

Additionally, after looking around for weeks, HardRace bushings do not fit on the USDM Fits and there are no other alternative hardened rubber bushings. Finally, I decided to just go with OEM bushings and when I called up Honda, apparently they doesn't just sell bushings for the LCA separately, so I had to buy two new front LCAs which kind of sucks since it seems like such an easy fix. Since I'm changing out my LCAs, I figured I'd also ordered some J's Racing RCA's. Unfortunately, they are custom so it's going to take a month before they are shipped out to me. At least once spring gets here, I'll have something to do.

Love your car, Chris! Jealous of all your carbon fiber lol.

No hard rubber but did you find polyurethane bushings?

I almost found out what happens when I confuse my 5-speed Fit with my 6-speed Accord and try to upshift from 5th to 6th at about 60mph/100kph. Thankfully I caught the mistake when I shifted into neutral after pulling down from 5th before I finished shifting into reverse. Hopefully this weekend I'll manage to find time for an oil change. It should go about 2 minutes faster now with the Fumoto valve I installed during the last oil change.

Sure am! I had heard that there is a mechanical lockout that will prohibit shifting from 5th to Reverse, but I didn't want to learn the hard way that wasn't true. I just searched the Owner's Manual and it turns out there is a lockout. From page 149: "The manual transmission is synchronized in all forward gears for smooth operation. It has a lockout so you cannot shift directly from fifth to reverse." Still almost crapped my pants though!

Actually worked on the Fit last weekend. Changed the oil. switch from Torco SR-5 GDL to Torco SR-5R and install the WR race header. Next week I will bleed the brake and flush the tranny with some Torco MTF. PLUS…… Order my new suspension that will be here in a week, MCS!!!

I fueled up a few days ago and checked my mileage. Since I got new O2 sensors I'm getting about 30mpg instead of only 29mpg. I'm still not sure if $400USD+ was worth the extra 1mpg, and it barely makes it worth it to get rid of the check engine light. And I changed the oil. Last time I did was in December just over 3000 miles ago. Just in time for Summer when I stop driving it because the intake temperatures get too high.

$400 for O2's? That sounds like A LOT!

It sounds like A LOT because it was! Each was like $210USD or so and that was with the online discount from my local dealership. I figure I could have sourced them elsewhere for less, but I wanted OEM so I wouldn't have to possibly deal with them not being the correct aftermarket part or not working correctly.

I got to test the brakes again today, courtesy of a last-second decision bullying their way across the gore point and into a VERY busy exit queue. It continues to amaze me with what this car can do.

At least I didn't get rear-ended.

Whoa! That's pretty awesome! Never seen that before.

I finally installed my new LCAs today as well as removed my heat shield from my catalytic converter. It was rusted so I tossed it. I also placed two ARC Magic cooling fins on my oil pan. Wonder if it'll do anything...

Side note: Didn't install the J's Racing RCAs since the shop was uncomfortable with installing them. The guy told me that even if he were to remove the old ball joints, that it may loosen the lip that holds it in place and if I were to put the new one in and hit a pot hole, it might pop it out.

Perhaps I should just sell these RCA's? :/

Brake master cylinder issue

Hi Dear Freaks!

I'm from Hungary, I've bought a 2007 Jazz Sport (chinese one).

I have a problem, with the master cylinder... I've bought one for the replecement. But my mechanic called me, it is not the same.
In the pic the top is the original from the car, the bottom is from another Jazz.

The problem is, I can't find in Hungary another part like the original of my car.
(If I search for Jazz) Only the bottom one.

My question is that another modells have the same master cylinder, what is fits to my fit? Like civic, etc.

Because I've searched for civic master cylinder from the pics its like the same.

Thank You for helping! Have a nice day!
