FS: ARC Airbox JDM Honda Fit GD3 Prototype Air Intake 07-08

SOLD: ARC Airbox JDM Honda Fit GD3 Prototype Air Intake 07-08
SOLD! THANKS.
Up for bid on eBay is an One of a Kinda, Ultra Rare, ARC Airbox (Air Filter Induction System) for the U.S. release Honda Fit (GD3), 2007-2008 model, all trim levels. My car was used by ARC Japan to prototype an Airbox. I don't know if it ever came to market, if it didn't then this is the only one in existence. If it did, then this is the first one in existence. In any case, it is truly unique. I've been using it for the past 3 years with absolutely no operational issues. It gave my car a deeper, slightly louder sound and I noticed that the throttle seemed a bit more responsive. The box is slightly tall so that it does rub against the padding under the hood. You can see the rub marks on the top of the box. If you cut the padding or remove it, it should clear your hood. ARC Engineers came to the US, took measurements of my Fit, went back to Japan, made the box, sent it to Mackin Industries (their US distributor) and Mackin made the final fitments. I never found out if they released it in the USA. I haven't seen it on any other cars. It is really clean for being a one off hand made prototype.
This airbox is a direct bolt on, no modifications need to be done. It attaches to all the connection points of the stock airbox. The only thing you need to do is remove your stock box, and replace it with this unit. It's something like 2 bolts, a sensor, and 2 hoses. All plug and play, very easy install. You can polish or anodize the aluminum box to really make it stand out.
