You are correct about the front clearance.

The license plate light is very different though. The instruction is actually on the plastic dome cover that holds the bulbs. Just push to the right while trying to pull it out. Shouldn't take much force.

ok according to this website http://www.sylvania.com/ProductCatal...motiveCatalog/ it says the reverse bulb is a "921" i can't confirm this as my car is in california for another week or so. i would like to know if you have a 921 l.e.d. bulb that has the l.e.d.'s around the sides an on the end in "white white white?
sorry if it seems i'm harassing you i just like your price point and am very much in the market right now

lol. I have 921 led bulbs. 921 and 168/194 has the same base except 921 beams all around.
I currently have something like this except the led are more spread apart. It has 16led on each bulb.

Everywhere I've checked online, it says 7440, even for GE. The only time I saw a 921 was for a 2010 but not sure if it was GE or GD. I Guess the only way to find out is to check for yourself.

i think this is correct - today at work i went out to a brand new 2011 GE and personally pulled out the socket (and bulb) sure enough it has a 921 as the reverse light

5XFIT i got notice of the shipment, great doing business - thanks.
i will post a pic of the different colors as soon as they arrive and i get them changed

wow what a difference!
first off let me say these pics are taken with an 4yo old iphone and the colors aren't very well represented but you'll get the idea, i havent changed the main dome light and i'm not sure if i will and i kinda like the soft light it puts off, if i need more light i will hit the maps.

reverse light comparo (not as blue as it shows here - see next couple pics) although i will admit it is not quite as bright as the original bulb, but is plenty bright to reverse by and i think most people will see it better simply because it's a strange color for them

still looks a little blue here but it is really white

much better

licence lights

not as blue in this pic, looks way better IMO

one more for reference

maps

i'm gonna cut a decal to stop the glare (i'll post a pic if others wanna see it)

i love the subtle change it gives the car and will be getting a few different bulbs in the future to change out a couple more

thanks 5Xfit
