FS: 2008 Fit Sport 5mt NJ
#2
Thanks everyone for your replies (late I know but it's been a wild time for us all)
Just FYI my Fit is actually only at 142k, so theoretically I know it has quite a lot of life left in it, depending on parts availability, though I worry having moved from San Diego to the North East whether road wear and tear will start taking a toll (salt, snow, etc.)
I did already pop the higher power battery that will fit, new Sony head unit for Carplay. I agree with others that something about the 2008 sport drives like a gokart in the best of ways, without truly endangering anyone as it struggles to reach 90mph. My previous car was a Prius C which due to the electric drive and small size also had quite a bit of sportiness from 0-30 which made city driving less of a pain.
I also haven't sat in any car that can beat the 08 fit for visibility, so many cars I rent or test drive make me feel like it's a hazard to not have a backup camera and possibly side cameras (looking at you Dodge)
It sounds like whenever this one reaches a point of non-repair (or someone hits me again and the insurance company finally declares it a loss rather than repair) I won't be too sad driving 2018-2020 used since I might as well step into modern era vehicle safety/feature wise.
I do wish I'd known about this gentleman before leaving SoCal so I could offer him cash to off road my fit before moving east for work.
