The 10th gen Civic and what it will look like and what versions will and will not be available for certain markets has been beat to death over on 9thgencivic.

My understanding per this news months ago that only The Type R will be the only hatchback. I hope the SI gets an auto option.

I do know that a prototype of the new Civic hatchback has been spotted testing in Germany recently. And unlike the current hatchback sold in Europe (essentially a stretched version of the Global Small Car platform that is the basis of the Honda Fit), the new hatchback appears to use the same multilink independent rear suspension as the North American sedan and coupé models, which means the new Civic hatchback that will be assembled in the UK for world markets will be based on the new Civic platform.
