The New Civic
Not sure how I feel about it. It looks like a Solara and a tC mated. And the center mounted exhaust is too "Mini" in my opinion. I would definitely take the sedan over the coupe.
Anyone else have thoughts?

You also have to remember that the coupe shown is an Si while the sedan is a standard civic. So the styling cues of the Si sedan may translate a bit more from that coupe rendering. I personally like them both. I do think that Id like to see the sedan in Si trim.

These are just drawing renderings...not real photos. Renderings always look better than the production car. Look at the renderings of the CR-Z vs production for example.
IMO it looks like a slight front end and rear end change and that's it.The basic shape is the same.
I would only get excited if they bring the hatch back personally.

i think the Sedan looks a lot more sportier then coupe IMO, but the Si has the body line of the New Accord and the rear looks like the TC/ Altima... but what im really interested in the performance spec of the new civic

god i hope not
that being said i'd like to see an actual one in person and not drawings or renderings
and what's up under the hood too
it's just too early at this point. although my wife loves her civic and it's an 06, i kinda miss the civics being smaller.

I'm sorry, but I wish Honda was like Ford, developing new designs rather then boring ones. Currently, there's nothing Honda offers besides the Fit that I'd want. Car manufactures make entry level cars to get you into bigger cars later on. Honda isn't doing that.
To me Honda is becoming Oldsmobile and Toyota the Buick of old. Safe designs that will stay with the current generation that grew up on Honda, but once the client base starts shrinking, the new generation wont want a Honda because it will be considered a old peoples car. Like what happen to Buick and Cadillac. Hyundai will take Honda's place. Actually, to me this happening currently.

Since there is no reference to hp or motor changes I have a feeling power will be the same at best maybe a 2-3hp gain. MPG will probably be 1mpg better too! *sarcasm*
Temple of VTEC Rumors and News - Honda Debuts Sleek and Sophisticated Concepts for All-New 2012 Civic Si Coupe and Civic Sedan Models
Lets hope they don't do what they did to the TSX and make it less hp (2008 TSX 205hp > 2009 TSX 201hp). At least they now offer a V6 version for the new boat TSX.
