You're funny Chunky... lol

I thought the Fiesta would have SOME leg room, I didn't think it would this bad. That's just WTF?!?

My nieces and nephews probably couldn't sit in the rear. Bleh.

Re-title this thread

Something about the title of this thread that bothers me, sorry guys - if it's a joke it isn't funny. Bash Ford, but do not ridicule a VET.

not ridiculing in any way... it's just he's too iconic to be forgotten... he's a hero and he was funny on the movie

Still not funny. Not only to those who have served, but those with disabilities as well. Grow-up and find another way to make a point. Consider me as you will, some things I take very seriously - that's it.

He's pretty clearly ridiculing the car, not veterans or disabled people. Bringing up a famous character from a well known movie doesn't equate to making fun of those people in general. You're trying to find reason for offense when there is none, lighten up a bit. Do you tell people to not watch Forrest Gump because they make light of Lt. Dan's situation for humor?

The original post is a joke about legroom, with a reference to a famous character played by from a fictional story by Winston Groom, as played by Gary Sinese. The post was written by an active duty Air Force member. No fellow veterans were harmed in the making of this joke. UL and CE approved.

I understood the intent from the go get - and fully support the criticism, however, there are a few things high on my list - sacred ground so to say.

Comes from my age and life's experiences.

To lead into a thread with such a title is not within my realm - that's all.
Simply is a point of view that I felt strongly in expressing and one I hope everyone can understand and accept.

Thanks for the pic. I'm now glad I didn't wait to see the Fiesta before I bought my Fit, would have been a waist of time - that really sucks.

Believe it or not, Gary Sinese is an activist for for veterans rights and performs with a band at veteran functions..... It is called "The Lt. Dan Band".... This coming Friday I will have driven 800 miles this month going to medical appointments at the V.A. Hospital.

Wow... I thought driving 1200 miles in the last year for a specific medical issue was bad. I think you win.

I always get nervous going into military hospitals. The one up in Fairfield (David Grant Medical Center) managed to mangle a gall-bladder removal badly enough to cost an airman both of his legs .

Airman Colton Read - Home

Oddly appropriate turn for the conversation.

Next time you're in Waco and have time to meet up, let me know! I'd love to see the SC fit.

I know, that red leather would look sick in our cars.
