What's the best way to go about debadging the rear of the Subi? We want to do it on my wife's brothers car. I know floss and take your time but what should we use to take off the gunk left over? I hear Goo Gone messes with the paint.

I got my moms hair dryer, and some floss. Then once the actual badge was off, i heated the goo up with the dryer, and used goo off. Then after all the goo was off i soaped up the area, dryed it, then waxed it. Looks perfect. Did the same method to de-badge my dads RSX this weekend aswell. Works great for me.

Awesome. I'll take pictures of the exhaust this weekend. It sounds great too. He painted it black.

You can't go wrong with HKS. They make good stuff for our cars. How much power are you expecting with Stage 2?

Sounds like wishful thinking. That definitely wont be the wheel numbers. My brother went with a built bottom end, bigger ball bearing turbo (ported), full catback exhaust, ported intake manifold, ported throttle body, ported exhaust manifolds, bigger injectors, swapped in an STi 6 speed tranny, much more that I'm missing I'm sure and he only put down 260 at the wheels.

This was a mustang dyno I believe which is supposed to read lower than most. We'll see, we're finishing up the front mount setup with an even bigger turbo tonight and its being tuned again tomorrow. These cars are undeniably awesome and fun to drive.

Literally when he started spending on it he couldn't stop, hopefully you can control yourself. Hehe.

Are you going to get a pro tune after the downpipe install? My friend with a 09 WRX got a pro tune after downpipe and exhaust and it made a HUGE difference.

My buddy with a wagon put down 266whp and even more TQ with the same mods as me and a GST pro tune. Its a do able number.

As far as crazy spending on mods, i shouldnt have that problem haha. Im not going any where near all out on this car, just a few things here and there and ill call it good. I almost didnt even want to go stage2. Need to keep it a reliable somewhat comfortable DD.

Thats what my brother said. The more he got done the more he wanted to spend. Good luck tho, as much as I've been working on his car recently its been making me want to make a move to a WRX as well.

Haha yeah man, hope that doesnt happen to me. Thanks.
You should, you can get them pretty cheap now-a-days. Saw a 06 STi with 95k miles clean condition for 15k last night. Thats cheap for a hawkeye STi!!

I believe the HKS DP tapers to 2.5 ...

I had my car tuned @ HB speed running about 306awhp and 344 Torque ... Running opensource tuning.

@TOOL - lol we have the same gauge set up... the "frog eyes" with prosport

Heres a quick video of a new Dirt road i just found! Its fun, and LONG! I only did maybe 10% of it on cam. Sorry for the poor quality, i had to crop the shot and stuffs, you get the point though.

YouTube - Subaru WRX Rally/Off road

As i learn the road, and get use to driving on a surface other then tarmac i should be getting faster!

I was talking to my brother about this thread earlier. I didn't realize that the hawk-eye's stepped up to a 2.5 block which makes those hp numbers completely doable.
