This is messed up. I'm glad it wasn't my car!

Last night I am woken up to the sound of what appears to be my horn alarm going off. It was roughly 4:30am when I deliriously jumped out of my bed and rushed to the front door. My car is parked on the driveway of my apartments and the sound of the horn was at a farther distance. Heart rushing, but relieved knowing that it wasn't my car, I make my way back to bed as the honking continues to sound for several minutes.

This morning I as I am backing out of my driveway I see that the Honda Accord (belonging to a girl who lives downstairs from me) has it's front end smashed. I initially thought it was a vandalism. It wasn't until I returned home did I see the carnage.

I live on a busy street where thousands of cars pass by everyday. I'm just glad neither my car, nor my girlfriend's car, was parked on the road that day.

The cars haven't moved all day and I haven't seen any police at the scene, although they pass by all the time. I don't know if the girl downstairs has scene it, but I don't want to be the bearer of bad news. I've only met her once anyway.

Damn drunk drivers!

The Accord got it the worst. The front end went into the Tacoma too.

I ended up telling the girl just now and she teared up as expected. We talked to the guy who owned the truck and he confirmed it was a drunk driver. Police came at 4am. 6 cars actually involved. When the Accord got hit, it rammed the Tacoma into a brand new Element.

sometimes...I feel the need to advocate violence as the answer.

All drunk drivers...put 'em on a school bus...and drive 'em off a cliff. :fixed:

I've lived through this nightmare when my Ford Ranger XLT was hit and ran on election night. The police came and filled out a report, we had the passenger mirror off the car and we knew what color the car was from the paint it left on my truck. My truck was almost totalled by the insurance and since it was an old truck even though it only had 100,000 miles on it, they only paid for fixing the items they deemed dangerous. It is a real pain because you have to use a rental car and then the hassel of getting it fixed and matching. The sticker on that truck is priceless! I can't believe the person who did this had any car left to drive off in.

Cat :x

Drunk drivers are scary. In my parents neighborhood in LA they put up barricades once because they were going to make it a gated community. Well, one night a drunk driver kept ramming the barricade over and over until the cops showed up and hauled him away.

Glad no one was in those cars when they got hit. Insurance is there for a reason.

Damn, that looks like a nice MKIII GTI. He must have had some lower offset rims in the back, getting clipped, tearing it off. But damn, that's horrible. I agree, drunk drivers need to be taken off the road. This pisses me off actually.

you guys may dislike my view, but i dont have a problem with drinking and driving. It's just you have to be at least A LITTLE responsible doing so.

1. Obviously if you're at the point where you cant stand straight, wait it out till u feel better
2. If you're gonna fuk up and hit something, u better stay behind and face the consequences.

I dont think it would be a big deal if so many people werent so careless... There is this stupid poster around my area with 2 identical pictures of a bad accident side-by-side. One side says buzzed driving and the other says drunk driving... depicting that buzzed driving IS drunk driving. Although both are extremely dangerous of course a drunk person will be much worse and their state of mind would be extremely poor... People need to stop running away from their fuc k ups in life... That is no way to live one
