My Trans Ams, for those interested (56k GO AWAY)
I have a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, Flame Red Metallic with Beechwood Cloth interior and digital LCD dash (that STILL WORKS!!...A rarity nowadays). It's my project and my toy, and I absolutely LOVE this car. It turns a lot of heads and has come a long way in the few short months that I've had it. It's huge, and it's a gas hog, but I don't drive it all the time and it's SO much fun...so with no further ado...Emma.

5.0 V8 Tuned Port. :) Just underwent minor surgery to have all the vac and evap lines replaced. The evap lines were marshmallows and it's a wonder the car didn't explode. Thank goodness, they're gone!!

Like your car, like your tag! Nothing like "old school", beautiful resto job, but whasup w/ the paint runs on the spoiler?!? How about some interior shots?

Huh??
Hey thanks...the runs on the spoiler were from the last paintjob and what the new one was intended to fix. The color was about six shades too purple and the rest of it looked like that spoiler, too.
The interior hasn't been redone yet...but it's still in decent condition...there's one tear in the seat and the console lid has a crack, but most of it's in decent shape.

Nice car, ahh brings back memories of the past.
My brother used to own a 89' TTA (turbo trans am). What a sleeper and was damn fast with only a few simple mods.
For those who don't know, TTA was Pontiacs version of the Buick turbo GN. Had the same 3.8L turbo engine and capable of insane horsepower.

The wheels are actually the stock GTA Crosslaces. GTAs got gold, Trans Ams got black or silver. It's one of the things Pontiac DID manage to get right...unlike the original spoilers.
Plan to... Eibachs. :) Right now, she's still on her stock springs, so she's ridin' pretty low...they're 21 years old...lol!
You've just met your first, then. With Third Gen T/As, I like the sleeker lines on the nose. I quite dislike the blocky nose on a Camaro and it seriously adds to the drag coefficient. Trans Ams just have this low, mean stance with the hidden lights that I just can't get from a Camaro. I think it has to do with the lights, mainly...but the only Camaro that interests me is a 4th gen. Probably for the same reason...sleek lines.

Ah...thank you.
Nope. Those are stock rims. Occasionally, GM does something smart...but not very often. :-P

Yeah, I know... :( Pontiac, in its infinite wisdom, decided there was too much torque behind a 5-speed V8. If I don't rebuild this tranny, I will drop a five speed in. No sense in wasting all those ponies!! :D
