Dilemma: 07 Civic Si Sedan vs. Fit Sport
just found out per vtec.net that the si sedan is a go this fall- may have to pass on the fit i have a deposit on for one of these  anyone else feel like the would rather step up to an Si? i realize how much different the cars are, but i they are both ones that i am strongly considering...
i may have to just off my beloved mint CRX Si and get both

Fall 06 isnt that long from now; if you could wait for the Fit it wouldnt be that much more trouble to wait a few more months for the si sedan.
But if you afford an Si (higher initial price, higher insurance, higher fuel costs, higher upkeep) then I say get it. You have an element, so you have a vehicle that you can fall back on if you need the utility factor.

I'd never buy a Civic Si right now, of any type.
They just showed off that shiny Civic Type R concept thingy (or is that the real production car)?
Anyway, I'd want to know for DAMNED sure that the CTR isn't coming here before I drop any coin on an Si.
I still just want an EK9 CTR....is that too much to ask?

The Civic sedan is a nice car. 140 HP and you can get a stick or auto trans. Be a nice city car with the auto trans, plus insurance would not be to the moon as it would with an Si coupe. The mileage is really good, about like the Fit. The difference would be the cost of the car. Now having said all that, today I'm driving home on the (infamous) freeway and what do I see right next to me? A Civic Si, kind of a burnt orange color, and boy did it look nice!!! Drool, drool......

To the OP:
It's not a dilemma. It's a dumb situation. Why would you compare and cross shop a C segment car (New Civic) with about 90 more horspower and an 8K price difference to a B-segment subcompact hatchback (Fit)?
