does the cvt work?

I thought it was just a regular 5 speed auto like the civic or even the same gearbox as the civic. If it was CVT then there would be no reason to make it 5 speed when the rest of the world is 7 speed.

But dont you see right above it where it say Automatic Transmission???
# Fit Sport with 5-Speed automatic transmission
Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters
Every Honda made with a CVT has listed it as CVT and not automatic, and vise versa.

OK - It IS NOT a cvt auto for North America - It is a version of the civic new 5 speed with standard torque convertor and valve body.
I have a Man-u-matic CVT on my Suzuki Burgman. It went from a 5 speed to a 6 speed on the 05 model. The final drive ratio is the same on either one.
Unless the pulley diameter's are physically changed or made to move further, the only hypothetical difference between a 7 speed and a 5 speed CVT would be the simulated spacing between the gears.
