E30 M3 or AP1 S2000?
ok guys, your thoughts please:
S2000 (AP1) or M3 (E30)
open to any and all considerations. would really like to hear about driving dynamics.
only constraint: choose one and only one.

ok, another stipulation - please state why.
the more you read about these two cars, the more alike they seem. there are obvious differences but the S2K seems more inline with the philosophy of the E30 M3 than the E36 did.

maybe someone can translate into a reader's digest version. basically, i want a car that i don't have to travel at ludicrous speed to enjoy. i think the only way to do that is a low powered rwd that is sensitive to using the throttle to achieve some nice yaw angles. can't be a super grip monster, else you have to go faster and faster to slide the car around.
basically, spent some time karting and i realized how much i missed going some measure of sideways when cornering.

watching that vid though, you see how the s2k transitions from understeer to snap oversteer. whichever car i end up getting will be a track car, but i have come to the realization that when you're footing the bill yourself, you better be having a good time. for me, that will necessarily mean having some kind of yaw angle in (not talking drift competition, but an appropriate slip angle for the tire). again, i don't have a lot of experience in either car, but i never thought of the S2K as a grip car.

It sounds like u want the M3 than. The S2000 has no power at low Rpms u have to keep it in the high Rpms for it be fun. I have seen and gone up against truboed s2000 they are quick but not fast and it cost a lot. The m3s that i have went up against stock are quick

i agree on the look, but the AP1 is the only way to go for "purists" or people looking for a challenging car to master. plus the 9k redline is more what i want, not the lowered redline that comes with the extra midrange in the AP2. i won't say that the AP1 is faster in any contest of speed. i will say that the AP1 demands more respect.
