Lexus IS F

I don't know how long these have been out in the wild, but I saw the first one I've ever seen in person. What a beautiful car, I usually don't like the styling of Lexus but seeing this car made me slow down next to it and give the owner a probably creepy look as I drooled over the car.

Anyone else liking this car? I'd even take it over the new GT-R if I had the chance, and I get wood when I hear those three letters!

Since were talking about the IS-F.....

The 5-Axis wide body IS-f from the Chicago auto show was the one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen

And heres a few of that other Lexus, what I believe was originally rumored to be the new Supra....

i like everything on the wide-body IS-F. It's beautiful. as for the stock IS-F, i hate the stacked exhaust pipes.

Very nice looking car, great drivetrain and tons of power... ....but,

NO MANUAL TRANSMISSION!! :mad::mad: :mad:
Any real performance car in my books needs a stick shift as an option.

Now days its pretty common for Luxury "sports" cars to not came with a manual, for example the new VW R32, this thing, hell even the new GTR. Alot of cars are going with direct shift transmissions.... its less fun but it IS better then a manual.

Maybe one day they could even do all the steering, throttle and braking for us too. Then we could play video games while we race :p lol, I am a purist at heart. When I got out I love to feel the road and know that my shifts are powering the car rather than it being automated. No clutch = No fun :)

Those things are absolute monsters. I got a video of one doing several back to back dyno runs at the Houston Auto Show.

^ Driver misses a gear in a car with a sequential gear box. :rotfl:

true, the r32 and the gtr have direct shift gearboxes...

but the is-f DOES NOT. all the is-f has is reasonably quick shifting automatic, torque converter and all. it is NOT an automated-manual like the gti/r32 or the gt-r.

and the exhaust pipes are part of the body kit, not actual exhaust outlets.:rolleyes:

too bad its not really a sequential gear box, which makes this even worse.
