I own a new Toyota Corolla... I don't own a Honda at all, let alone a Fit. So I don't have much Fit loyalty. And even I can say that that Toyota is down right ugly, boring and cheap looking. I can just imagine the awful material quality looking at those pictures. Toyota has been lacking bigtime in the quality aspect lately. (To be fair, though, my parents have owned a ton of luxury cars [new one every 2 years] and I've grown up around them... The Lexus' have always superior to other brands in material, powertrain reliability, and luxury quality, though. And that's considering that they've been much cheaper than the two maintenance-hungry 7 series we had and hated.)

But boy, that thing is so awful. The interior is like a cheap Kia minivan and the exterior is just boring and generic. Looks like a cheap Chinese car.

 

Ractis to me sounds like the dirtiest part of the body

BTW...I think that the location of the shifter is ripping off the '03 civic si... if you can't come up w/ an original design for a car...rip off some that are/were successful!:p

 

From front to back to my reaction: Yaris -> Fit -> xD/xB/element -> vomit

 

this is basically an Xa with a fit interior.... bleh they should come with something new:rolleyes:

 

Guys this car really should be compared with the Honda Freed, not the Fit.

The Freed would be its closest match in the Honda world.

The Fit's competitor is the Yaris.

 

Please tell me you work for Toyota and were asked to post this because if you honestly believe this, you need to be hit with stones. That thing is hideous inside and out. They added the signature Scion bench backseats where your ass feels like a plate after 10 minutes. Exterior looks like the ist (Scion xA) had sex with a bullet train.

 

I'm not yelling. I just thought I'd try to add some relevance to the mindless Toyota bashing (as if Honda doesn't make any ugly cars. Please)

 

Its kinda funny reading this AFTER I got a Ractis with my sister like 48 hours ago...

I have to say, you guys love to flame the ractis eh? Or is it just because its a Toyota?

Anyway, here's some photos to share... i didnt get to do a PROPER photoshoot of the car yet because its still with the dealership. Maybe I'll post some interior shots when I have the chance.





What I like about the Ractis:

7 speed CVT with paddle shifter
Auto Climate Control with ION Air Cleaner
Panaromic Sunroof (Bigger than the JDM Fit)
KEYLESS GO (START BUTTON THINGIE)
HD + DVD + TV + Backup Cam 7" Double Din. Has Navi but only works in Japan (Im in HK so its no good)

Maybe I'll throw in a 3" LED Projector and the Works Emotion XT7 17", lower that thing with Tanabes.. and the car should be good to go~

welll cant say much about the interiors untill and unless i get my hands on that beauty

but still though
it feels bad when brands copy each other :X
