yah, and wats also cool is that our Fit's are made in Japan.

im surprised to see subaru on there in the top3. my subies in the past
(and my current one) are not that great as far as durability or reliability.

the ride is nice and smooth though...and the awd is nice.
but i dont foresee me buying another subaru for a long time.

Really, Subies generally have the reputation similar to Toyota in that its hard to kill them.

hummm...that's kinda hard to believe to tell you the truth given the
problems ive had with my subies and the dealers.

on the otherhand, ive been working on a toyota solara the last few
days and even though i dont really like toyota's or think of them as
real cars, they are well built. the quality of the parts are extremely
over done in some areas (in a good way) giving the consumer the
durability they want. it's like a tank. very well thought out.

toyota's score coming lower than subaru is probably due to the junk
yaris, echo, corolla's, matrix. i can't believe it is the same car
manufacturer as like the camry/avalon, higher end models like lexus.

I thought the same thing kenchan (about Toyota)

and before reading this article I never knew Subarus were depicted as "reliable"...I knew they were good cars but I figured they were just good because of the awd rep or the rally STI cars.

oh well, guess we learn something new everyday :D

For a turbo car, it's pretty reliable. The engine is durable as long as you don't beat on it every day. Turbo ususally increases wear and tear on the engine.

The echo, corolla's, matrix are the cars they neglect. I use to have one and I admit that they are durable and well built. But the comfort & style are just horrifying. I don't think Toyota really cares about their eco cars.

I've never seen anything built like a fit here. I believe the Fit is the most cleverly built eco car right now.

Subaru's vs the Fit

I looked at the Subaru's before I bought a Fit. The Impreza was pretty nice but it was $$$ and a bit of a gas hog. The Fit is much more efficient and smart. Speaking of fast hogs, the Impreza WRX was fairly awesome for speed but lots of $$$ premimum and tickets to pay ;)

was thinking about a subie

Just like any imported car, we get jipped as far as performance goes. I mean we got the type-r but ours vs there's ours ould have lost hands down. our fits differ I think the jdm fit/jazz looks better than ours. But for a change it was nice to see subie offering us something close to what the japanese folks were getting plus subie's assembly plant is eco safe which is good to. The comeciall I saw also said that after 93 (I think) that 90% of ther cars are still on the road witch I cant say that about anybody else's car not even honda. Most of my 23 cars have been honda's exept 4 so its safe to say I am a honda junkie and I no that there are not 90% of hondas on the road today,-lets just say thats due to lack of care. Now when the 05 STI came out I wanted one and still do but I was not about to pay 36K for a car that I now Im going to viod the warranty the first week of ownership plus I had tree cars at the time and didnt need #4 so I was going to wait the gas just started getting ridiculus luckly I picked up a insight at the time from a guy who reallized that its not the smartest car to have for somebody who has four small kids for $5000. I still want a sti but with gas as high as it is $400 dollars every four month's per tire and the fact I could get 2 fits and prolly a set of wheels for both for what a STI cost is why I chose the fit. Plus parts for sti's and wrx's are kinda expensive as compaired to after market stuff for other honda's, even though I swore I wouldnt modify this one. I lyed. P.S. sorry for the long story I know yall hate to read

Regardless of what that says, I love honda and audi. My favorite companies.
