I don't like hyundai's and their reliability has always been in question, but to get a cheap REAL sports coupe LSD and have the powertrain warranty!!

Hey as a weekend warrior, Drag Strip, (we'll see about handling a road course) it sounds GREaT so far!

I think most people are worried about Hyundai and Kia's reliability in the long run. They have come a long way and I think they are building much better products than they were a few years ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were pretty good in the reliability department.

That and Hyundai isn't exactly new or even new to the U.S. I know that I'm dating myself, but I still remember the first Hyundai that I drove...it was a High School buddies in 1988. They've had 20+ years of experience here now. Boy that Excel was a POS though...my 1980 Prelude had less problems than his brand new Excel and was faster :)

not digging the entrance at ALL...

but the car is fantastic. great styling, hyundai is getting on its game!

but according to edmunds, this is NOT the replacement for the tiburon, as it isn't going to compete in the same class, at ALL.

dunno what the plans are for the next fwd coupe, but they are there.

the specs even back this up; they mentioned how even thought the 223 hp 2.0 turbo is more powerful than the GTI's motor, this coupe weighs an astounding 300lbs MORE than the already porky GTI, so there is no way its going to be as fast. (this would be a great motor for the top of the line next gen tibby!)

this car is great!

no thanks for me, i have the real one... the G35C. :rotfl: :p

jokes aside, that genesis isn't a bad design; has too many busy
lines though. its good to see something different finally in the
lowend market.

the problem now is how they are going to sell that thing in the
snowbelt states. are you going to put that away for winter and
drive your Fit?

sure you can use snow tires but try it in 2"+ of snow going
up a turning expressway entrance ramp. looks like ants that
fell into a sand pit. this day in age, it's got to be AWD if
performance oriented, all-year car.

i'm sure that bmw claims it has the 'real one' too.

as far as using it in the snowbelt....you shouldn't bring it up like its a problem exclusive to hyundai...its something that EVERY RWD coupe/sedan has an issue with. therefore, it should fare no worse/better.
