Anyone install Goodyear Assurance Comfortred tires?

I have a 97 accord with 140K and I recently replaced my worn Michelin
X-ones with a set of Goodyear Assurance Comfortreds. The ride
originally wasn't up to expectations (especially considering the
reviews for this tire), so I had the rubber damping mounts replaced
which looked seriously worn and deteriorated on one side. The ride
noticably improved for a while, and now potholes, highway expansion
joints, deliver a serious jolt to the chassis. (perhaps the rubber
mounts lost some of their spongey-ness while wearing in)It could be
that I need to replace my springs and/or strutts (Monroe Sensatracs
with 50K on them). Varrying tire pressure only made things worse. I am
also wondering if it could be the tires themselves. I didn't "notice"
such a bad ride with my worn Michelin X-ones. Perhaps someone out there
had similar problems with Goodyear Assurance Comfortreds on their
Accord or other vehicle. Thanks

I have a 2003 Accord EX V6 Coupe. Instead of Comfortreds I bought
TripleTreds. I love these tires. They handle so much better than the
OEM Bridgestones (Turanza) that came with my Accord. The wet traction
is fantastic and I can tell a huge difference when driving through the
standing water in the shallow "ruts" in the highways here in the
Florida panhandle. Roads here seem to sink into the ground from heavy
use.

At least I don't worry so much about traction while driving around
trying to adjust out my A/C and radio settings while staring at a dark
display ....
