We Just got 2 Mugen Si's in
#42
Hahaha... I know. Im great at it.
So theres only 1000 of them. People keep bringing that up when others talk about the price. Theres only around 1500 of 4WS Mx-6's. Very few are in the states. I know the price tag was around the same price as that Si. (crazy in 1989)
But at least the Mx-6's added some go with the turbo motor. And I got one thing that Si dont have. Oscillating AC vents!! And what?!! And 4WS, errr and a turbo. Hahaha.

That would be sweet, but no. Though I have to say the shift knob is pretty cool. It's smooth, feels good, and has the Mugen Si logo etched nice and tiny in the middle of the shift pattern. There's also another badge just in front of the shifter. That's about it for the interior. Also, the wing is adjustable, sort of interesting. The exclusive front grille is nice too; with the Mugen Si badge again incorporated into it.

We actually have those wheels for sale in our store, haha. As well as on some of our Civics and on a regular Si sedan. Expensive, but worth the quality and style.
Though I wouldn't reccomend it, I'd like to see them squeezed on a Fit too

So whats the BIG DEAL about this Mugen Si anyway?
BIG ass non aesthetically pleasing wing. Silver shift nob. Springs... $30K
Some other things under the hood.
Can't a normal $21K Si be souped up even better than this for less money?
Maybe I'm just not a big enough enthusiast to appreciate this car :(

and the big deal is there are only so many being made
The VIN doesnt count. Collectors cars have badges stating what number you have out of the bunch. Galant VR4's, newer Charger Daytonas (special colors) and a few others have little badges on the dash. They could have at least done that.
I mean, 2 dealers have 2 of these Mugen Si's. If they were rare why are you guys getting 2 each? Other Hondas should have a chance to have one. I know theres crack Honda dealers and then nice ones. Holler only got one and theyre HUGE down here.
The only reason why they will be limited is cause they wont sell. ;)

this is just me thinking aloud, but could this be Honda's indirect way to test the market for a Type R?
They could be thinking: "if ppl are crazy enough to pay $30 for a fixed up Si, then the Type R may actually sell if priced around the same."
...or am i just getting my hopes up?

We don't have any rule like that here..but it might be because if you're by yourself and you're 16, you can't buy a car. Because to get a loan, you have to be 18? That could be their thinking.
I dunno, but you're getting -my- hopes up.
