Trailer hitch?

Trailer hitch?
We FINALLY got our Storm Silver Sport MT, and I'm looking at carrying bikes with it. With our other cars, it's really handiest to strap on a carrier that rests against the hatch, but it looks like the spoiler makes that carrier unusable on the Fit. I think I remember someone posting something about a bolt-on light duty trailer hitch on this site several months ago, but "Search" doesn't find it. What I remember is someone actually bought one and mounted it, and was using it to receive a bike rack. I'd like to hear from that person, or get directions to that thread. Can anyone help?

Here it is:

I've got this on mine, and it works great.

Yes, they all look pretty much alike, except that 24776 and 60847 are cheaper and rated to tow more weight, and 24776 is the lightest. Based on that, 24776 seems like the best, unless there's something I'm not seeing. Thanks for the link, wyy183.

87wagon... I bought both the Curt and Draw-Tite hitch receivers from eTrailer for my Fit, but I sold the Fit, before I installed either one. If you (or anyone else on these boards) wants these hitches, you can have the hitches for FREE... all I ask is that you pay the actual cost for shipping, via UPS.
If you're not interested, another board member can either pay actual cost to have one or both shipped to them, or grab them totally free, if they're willing to drive to central Virginia to pick them up.
I just bought an ATV, so I could use all the space in my shed as I can muster...
Please PM me, if you (or anyone else) is interested.

Just finished doing some research on the etrailer.com site. I know several folks have discussed the Curt hitch (11058) but the skid shield must be discarded and it currently looks the most pricy of the lot. It looks to me as if the Draw-tite (24776) and the Hidden Hitch (60847) are exactly the same hitch design (compared the photos, installation, specs, etc.) BUT the Draw-tite does NOT come with the drawbar, pin, and clip while the Hidden Hitch states that it DOES (this probably accounts for the lighter shipping weight for the Draw-tite). Seems like the Hidden Hitch is (currently) the best value for money. Anyone have any gotchas they want to add?

Anyone know if these light hitches would work with a beefy bike rack without a great degree of swaying? I was looking at this:
917 - Thule T2 Bike Hitch 1 1/4 Inch Rack
Thanks.

Skid plate? What does it actually do? Seems like the hitch would be more stout than the skid-plate.

For hitch information click this 2007*Honda*Fit*hitch search *by etrailer.com (800)298-8924 . As for the Fit, the owners manual states on page 164 "Your vehicle is not designed to tow a trailer. Attempting to do so can void your warranties.".
Now I wonder just how much it REALLY can tow:
0 = OK
.
.
.
.
CRX = NOT OK!

I have one of those
hey guys, I do have the hidden hitch, which i bought from e-trailer.... its great and it did come with the draw bar pin and clip..
I installed it per directions and torque spec, the skid shield is in place and nothing had to be removed or drilled
The hitch is great and i have used it all winter to carry a YAKIMA 4 bike hitch rack as well as a ski mounted rack that attaches to the yakima bike rack.
It has been a tough winter here in colorado and the hitch is holding up great.
With this set up i can also tow a UHAUL 2 axle trailer..perfect for when i move
Cheers
