Lyon needs a Job!
Well, Allstate decided to pull the plug on our Woodridge, IL call center and sent our jobs to Idaho. Thanks IL for the high taxes and high cost of living that cost me my job! Anyway, If anyone knows of any opportunities for work in the Chicagoland area please pass along the info. I've been a licensed insurance agent for 5 years with supervisory experience. Thanks!

Well, this story has a bittersweet ending. Allstate is paying me 20k to relocate to Charlotte, NC. It's sad when a company is willing to incur that expense just to avoid operating in Illinois. Everyone tells me Charlotte is beautiful so this should be a fun adventure.

New York is similar to Illinois keep raising taxes and wonder why businesses close or move out of state.
I was looking a few years back to relocating to Charlotte, nice area. If you are buying a home there is still a lot of developments. Seems like a lot of people were going just over the border into South Carolina to live typical new home with around 2500 square feet for around $250k in Lake Wylie real estate taxes around $1,200 a year and gas is cheaper.
Good luck.
