Dave is the man when it comes to giving good advice about where to buy flashlights... Oh yeah I forgot to mention that he turned me onto good deals on vitamin also.... I just did a one click order for the flashlights myself. Thanks Dave.

Aw, gee, now I'm all embarrassed. I just wish that more people could have got these at Costco for $12.00 ea. And, maybe moderators won't be so quick to accuse me of SPAM. I just mention deals when I find them, and don't care if no one else cares.

I don't mind one bit if you plug Costco... I bought stock in the company a little over a year ago.

I remember when this site catered to Honda Fit enthusiasts.

Now we get more posts about flash lights than about people modifying their cars.

I would guess that it is because this is an off topic discussion thread and it is too cold to be out in the garage, shed, barn, driveway or parking lot turning wrenches.....There isn't much happening on the other threads that I've seen.

That sir is where you are mistaken. This is actually a flashlight enthusiast site that is cleverly disguised as a car forum.
Oh and this is off topic so it doesn't really matter what is talked about
in here.

I know that, I meant the forum on a whole. This topic has gotten more activity than 99% of the Fit related threads though, especially anything involving anything outside fuel economy and oil changes...oh and which all season tire people are convinced are the best thing ever.

At least the flash light forum rationale explains my inability to sell my stuff

That is a shame. I actually do need some nice flashlights for my house/garage. I only have two small LED flashlights.

Well, since this IS the "flashlight enthusiast's forum", you should look up "High power LED flashlights" on eBay. When I posted the earlier link showing how marked up the prices are now for my Costco bargains, I saw a listing for a 1000 lumen flashlight that uses rechargeable batteries, and the "buy it now" price was $14.00.

For anyone who is willing to pay a little more for great quality, go here (I own their HP21 monster) Coast Products - Headlamps | LED Flashlights | LED Lanterns | Knives & Multi Tools

As Texas Coyote commented, I AM crazy about flashlights- mainly about high power LED's. I was browsing through eBay and found this. Even though I don't really NEED it, I bought it anyway.

High Power 3800LUMEN XM LT6 3 CREE 5 Switch Modes LED Flashlight Torch X9 | eBay

Keep in mind that I am NOT urging anyone else to make this purchase. Reason? In their specs, the description of "switch type" is listed as "Clicky-Clickie". That REALLY inspires confidence in build quality. But what the hell? 3800 lumens with rechargeable batteries? Why not try it? I expect the light to work about 5 minutes before needing a recharge, but we'll see. I will report my results. This obsession comes from mountain living and a VERY undependable electric utility provider, with mountain lions carrying away neighbor's pets.

With hippies "shrooming" in the woods next door at 3:00 a.m., meth labs a few miles up the road, and lifted trucks driven by people who "hunt" small cars to force off the road for sport. BRIGHT lights are a great thing. Can't have too many, or too bright.

For the "hunter" trucks, I also carry a .45 auto, or a Glock 17, and sometimes both. I had to lose my GD3 with 1100 miles on the clock to learn that.

Boy sure is allot of whining in the "OFF TOPIC" category. In case most of you are wondering this category in most if not all other forums I visit is the most popular/entertaining.

There are many funny/interesting tidbits to share that need an off topic category.

And BTW Costco also sells a decent Bourbon for those of you that like it.
