Fitting more in the CD player...

I decided that since the USB radio interface was too annoying (couldn't easily switch between classical and rock music since it doesn't allow enough subfolder levels) I'd put my classical on CD and leave the rock on the thumb drive.

Of course you can fit only about 70 min on a CD...

BUT WAIT, that's not true. If you put music on a CD as a music CD, there's a time limit.

Instead I simply dragged all the folders (containing MP3 files) onto a CD but told the CD burner I wanted to make a DATA CD, not a music CD.

Then the limitation is not time but only the size of the CD, something like 700 mb. That turned out to be about 30 albums at the compression I used.

So- now I have all of my classical music on one CD and all the rock on the thumb drive. Problem solved.

You will notice on your radio in white lettering: the compact disc (CD) logo, mp3, and WMA. I put a headunit in my old car for the main reason of being capable of playing mp3 CDs and was happy to see the Fit's unit mp3 compatible though I have not tested it out. How is the interface for mp3 cds? Can you scroll through folders similar to USB interface?

Seems to be the same. Hey, a blank CD costs pennies, give it a try.
