Here is the band that was the first to be referred to as psychedelic... Roky is still screaming when he performs but it has been years since he has been in the state hospital for his schizophrenia. Gotta love Texas music.

That is my kind of music Hootie "Stormy Monday Blues" was written by T Bone Walker who was from Oak Cliff...His first recording was called "Trinity River Blues" and the name he recorded under was Oak Cliff T Bone ... The first Blues recording artist was Blind Lemon Jefferson who T Bone escorted around the Deep Elum pate of downtown Dallas and learned a lot of his county blues style from... T Bone was a big influence on B.B. King.. Texas blues has been a much larger influence on the blues genre than most people realize.

For the past 24 hours, this track has been stuck in my head and been on repeat most of the day. Just can't get enough of it or any Dub Step at the moment...

Nice choice in music TC. I haven't heard of T Bone Walker before (prior to your post) and didn't have a clue that he wrote "Stormy Monday Blues". Whenever I hear that particular track play its usually the version with BB King and Eric Clapton in it. I'll have to check Walker out.

Black Country Communion (Joe Bonamassa, Derek Serinian, Glenn Hughes and Jason Bonham). This band has really grabbed my attention. I discovered Glenn Hughes a long. long time ago and he works surprisingly well with Joe Bonamassa (who is at the pinnacle of blues/ rock guitar players right now). BCC has released 2 albums and they both kick ass.
Speaking of TX Blues, Buddy Whittington is one of the finest blues guitarists ever (played a lot with John Mayall). Buddy floats around the DFW blues bar scene.
