Manila, Queen of the Pacific 1938

For all the Pinoys in the forum, young and old alike....
Manila 1938 was simply beautiful then...it was called Pearl of the Orient Seas.

Yeah, definitely. I confirm it.

You forgot to mention that the politicians are all corrupt and worthless. What a crying shame.

@chaaree:
I doubt you'd want to visit Manila nowadays if not for seeing your relatives again here. It's not really much of a tourist destination unless your idea of fun is going to a bunch of malls.

i still call the P.I. my home. I've been away for 16 years and only visited once. The true beauty of the Philippines is not in the city but in the provinces. Sure we may be poor but we have that family bond. I agree that our politicians are corrupt, they only think about themselves and not their fellow countrymen.

...You might want to check out Bohol and Panglao Island when you do come and visit. My folks swear the place is paradise...much better than Boracay, where there's arguably too many people nowadays but still nice.

if anything, i'll go back for the reasons that contribada mentioned. there's a lot of family that i haven't even met yet -- my mom's entire side of the family .. i still keep in touch with a few of my cousins, all they ever talk about is the mall and the jabba wockeez LoL

Bohol and Palango, i keep hearing this from my relatives. it'll definitely be worth a visit when i get the chance
