IIRC you need 100 posts before your rep shows up
.: Edit :.
In my last post, I forgot the last reason why today is good.
I just completed my Gaming PC build. Installed my new AMD Phenom X4 (quad core) and increased my RAM to 4GB (4x1GB)
Rig as it sits right now
Mobo: MSI K9N SLI V2
CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9500 2.2GHz
RAM: 4x1GB Corsair DDR2 (forget which clock speed lol)
Video: 2x XFX GeForce 9800GT in SLi mode (512MB each. That's 1GB of dedicated video RAM woot)
Sound: No speakers. Just a generic 5.1 surround headset
HDD: Western Digital 320GB 10,000RPM
Case: Antec Sonata II Piano Black quiet case (not so quiet anymore with all the extra fans I had to install to keep her cooled off lol
Monitor: Samsung 22" Widescreen 16:10 @ 1680x1050
Input: Logitech Mx518 Mouse with Generic Keyboard'
-Vista Experience Rating: 5.7 (single hard-drive is holding me back. Time to go Raid 0!)
-Gets ~150fps on L4D with max settings. Adjusted video cards to bring the frame rates down and improve redering. No more screen tear!
IDK if would be as excited as I am...but I'm very excited
All that's left to do now is to Get a new case to improve the airflow, upgrade to a RAID 0 (or 0+1), and get a Blu-Ray drive

Yeah, I'm excited by the 5.7 systems!
Kick a$$ system, DrKelso!
Oh, the dual HDs MIGHT not increase the rating. I have two, but not RAID, thought.

blah! Intel hahaha...I think I'll use AMD 'till I die. I know Intel is technically "superior"...idk. I kind of think of AMD vs Intel like Honda vs BMW.
AMD, like Hondas, are durable, can take a beating, easily modded without problems (overclocked)
Intel, like BMW, is a nice name, strong platform out of the box, but (in my experience) don't last as long. I hear they have a lot of problems once you try to overclock (kind of like when my friend tried to mod his 3330ci and ran into loads of issues)
Hmmmm....I just noticed that windows is only recognizing 2.559GB of the 4GB I have installed.
Gonna be fun figuring that one out

DAMN. your shits gangster. LOL! but i hate how everything changes too fast. everything goes obsolete in about 6 months. So i spent all my money on my car and my photography equipment instead. LOL. I'm an account executive in computer component distribution so I get all computer parts at cost, wholesale no tax and was actually contemplating building a down ass rig again. hahah. but now i just play L4D on my crappy notebook. Sometimes i freeze and my character goes idle

^^ Ya, I'm always afraid of becoming obsolete, but that's the great thing about DIY PC's, you can always upgrade the components that fall behind, one at a time.
However, all things considered (for my usages at least), I'm fairly future-proofed for at least the next 2 or 3 years.
Now time to start reallocating funds back to the car. Coils/J's bars/Wideband O2/FMU Before next year.
