No More Sport Compact Car???
I just got a postcard saying that the March '09 issue will be SCC's last issue. Apparently my subscription will be filled out with Modified Magazine.
I have been a SCC subscriber for a few years and this is terrible news. The magazine is not the same as it once was, but it was still way better than Super Street. This is depressing.
Is Modified any good? I have never even looked at one issue.

i have noticed that SCC was getting a little thinner as the years went by. Sucks to see that they've gone bankrupt?? modified mag is a pretty good mag though. it has its tech articles as well as other content.

Sport Compact didn't go bankrupt. They are owned by Source Interlink Media. They're just thinning out the heard. Turbo was cut a couple months ago. Now SCC. I beleive Modified Luxury and Exotic is next. People don't buy magazines anymore. It's a shame. They go to the book store, read them for free and don't bother helping the industry out.

That's a damn shame. Sport Compact was one of the first car mags I started reading before I started learning about cars. At least we still have Honda Tuning (or Civics - and some other cars as a girl I dated called it; hater!) and Import Tuner.

It was the worst when they stopped making Siphon and I wish Honda Tuning would include a section each month on the Fit but no luck. We are running out of tuner mags that is for sure.
