Question I've seen it. I've heard it. Just what does...

I've seen it written. I've heard it said!

Maybe I'm stoopid, but, pertaining to cars...

Just what does "ricer" or "rice" mean to you?

TIA,

a ricer to me is a car that has any of the following:

stickers or badges of things it IS NOT or DOES NOT have. Example: Type R badges on anything that's not a Honda with a B18C5 or K20A.

chrome wheels on a stock car that just doesn't look right. Like a Cavalier.

Altezzas (clear taillights). They disgust me so much. Saw a green Mustang Cobra with them. I was like "WHY?!?!?!?!"

I'll allow others to add more.

yep hehe, remember when i did a poll on tire valve lights? ugly lol...

anyway, ricer is really an opinion, and most of the time its very obvious. First thing ill say, is when the car looks like its really obvious that the driver is a serious racer wanna be. Or, when the guy puts stuff on his car thats "too much", like 20 inch rims on an aveo or, undercar neon. um, something that says "damn, that is just too much". i would call a car ricer if it gets my attention and i say "ugh why did i waste my time looking at it -.- "

I'm thinking "ricer" IS derogatory, so I'm really trying to stay away from being one.

NO chrome wheels, or spoilers, for me!

The summer wheels are going to be gun-metal Del Sol 14" mags.

So, if I really have a Tanabe strut-bar and a V-TEC (Duh!) and a K&N drop-in, I'm OK. Right?!

I mean, the decals look clean!

I guess I over did it with the license plate, according to my wife. (She'll never understand! )

I'm also thinkin bout wiper delete and a shark fin antenna

ricer is really on the outside, not about the engine or performance of the car. as for the tanabe decal, ill be "wtf is that?" trying to figure it out hehe, you should put it under your fit logo on the back, if your not going to put anything else there. as for the license plate, pfft, my mom was complaining that she doesn't want people to see it, like wtf? what are they going to do with it, you got something to hide? lol -shrugs- yo but wiper delete? egh.. my opinion, thats pushing it heh.. not sure what a shark fine antenna is tho..

Everyones point of view on whats "ricer" is diffrent. I have my opinions, yours may differ.

The truth is, if you like it who cares what people think.

Heres a very good example of a ricer, toyota prius, you see someone hooking that shit up with a spoiler, body kit, rims, audio, engine maybe? [exception cuz.. u'll see] tint and light is ok on that car. but you see someone do those things, there officially ricer, its a friggin hybrid for ****s sakes. people buy that car cuz there sissy of gas. "im scared of paying more for gas but hey i want to make my car look FAST!" -.- i'd like to give them the honor of shoving thier heads up thier ass -.- yes i've seen it, UGH its as ricer as u can get. now dont get me wrong, when we talk about a fit, its a WHOLE different ball game lol
