I enjoyed the heck out of the YouTube videos!

Like the one ricer-spoof said, "If you polish the headlights, you'll get an extra 5mph!"

As far as "shoving their heads up their ass"...you've seen HANCOCK, the movie!

"Ricer" to me means a few different things, and I agree everyone's definition is different.

1) The car is from South-Eastern Asia, mainly Japan. The word is "rice", because well... you get it right? There are some non-Japanese ricers out there (as seen in tons of V6 Mustangs aka rice-stangs) etc, but mainly, ricers are honda, toyota, kia, nissan, etc etc by breed.
2) Tons of "mods" which don't end up making a fast car. Some of these can be "functional", others are just plain ugly, some can even be in good tastes, but at the end of it your car is still a dog, it's prolly a ricer mod.

Case in point:
$30,000+ Mugen Si gets it's ass handed to it by a bone stock $23,000 Cobalt SS.
The Cobalt SS's supercharged Ecotec engine collaborated with an excellent gearbox to charge down the straights with authority. The result was a maximum speed of 117.1 mph and a lap time of 3:20.6 — four to five seconds quicker than the other front-drivers, the GTI and the Civic.

My definition of Rice:
Wheels over 17" unless car is stock with that big of wheels
Graphics all over car
Logos when car doesn't even have those parts
Spent over 30,000 dollars doesn't even have 150 hp
Has APC parts
Spinner Hubcaps
neon

I'm one of those who don't, and my initials are CAT, so I'm curious...

If you can't say, no problem!

rice: when you buy things to make your car look faster that have no performance or functional gain. examples-Chroming anything on your car or bike that didn't come chrome. Leave chrome for domestics and classics. Altezza Lights- Unless your car is an altezza, altezza lights are rice. Neon shift knobs, license plate holders, and glow wires is also rice. Anything you change that makes a car actually uglier, or decline in value or performance, is ricey. Putting civic badges and racing stripes on an escort, ricey. Stupid low offset to where your wheels hit your fenders and dent them- Beans and Rice, because its always the mexican cars with 14inch wheels stuck out 2x as far as the fender. and I know a lot of people like vinyl on cars, but most vinyl on cars, especially fake carbon fiber or chrome, is super ricey. Cutting your springs, rice. Ricing a car is making it more ghetto than its current state.

What about the Accord type R with the F20B or H22A? Can't forget about the family type R!

But, but, but I got a classic great car, and I like my little bit of chrome on the hatch, until I do a wiper delete.

Guess I'm old school, or just old.

But there is hardly anything I dislike seeing more than chrome door bumper $hit!
(EDIT: No offense intended! The Blazer has chrome door bumper $hit on it ; )
