Calling all computer freaks. SLi need help

Ya that mobo seems like overkill...I don't ever plan on going the 3x SLi route so that extra PCI-E slot would just be forgotten.
I'm going to try to update my BIOS today and fiddle with the memory a bit to see what happens. Fixing the problem would be A LOT cheaper than just buying a new mobo...although I do love asus

The only thing I can think of that might contribute to this issue would be..
1- maybe diffrent speeds of the PCI busses, (I don't know if SLI would even work if that were the case though)
2- ensure direct x 10 is installed.. (sounds kinda noob but I am not up and up on the consumer based hardware just server stuff...)
3- update drivers!
and the games would also need to support SLI and hopefully be optimized for it

Strangely...I haven't changed anything...but now my system is rock solid and running stable!?
I'll let it run for a few days and run a Prime95 test on it just to be sure. Then it's Overclock time!
