Make a monster out of an old Beetle. See if you can fit a Porsche Flat-4 in it. That oughta make it go like no other =D

Good luck trying to find a decently priced used Elise or S2k.

ive seen one cool slammed and chopped beetle but still, its a beetle. and an old car is a little more work than i want to put into it.

or do you mean $30k including building the motor/mods etc. ?

hahaha nooo way 30k with mods! my dad will be paying for half of all the mods too so i will most likely go crazy with whatever car we choose. an sti would be nice for me but you gotta remember my dad is 55 years old and already has an 06 corvette so an sti would be kinda lame to him. a small rwd mid engine car would be a nice change for both of us. ive found a few 06 elises for about 32k but nothing that has really caught my eye.

my buddy has the lotus exige symbolic edition.

carbon diffusers and the whole nine yards.

i got to drive it, that thing is so uncomfortable. but that thing HANDLES LIKE a go kart! bad ass...

i dont know, i would say s2k with a supra swap. use s2k( 14k) send it over to florida and back (2 k)

have those guys in florida do the swap( 15k)

you got yourself a 32k twin turbo inline 6 s2k thatll pull like crazy haha

hahahaha yea, thats the one thing. there is barely any aftermarket support for the lotus. but a twin turbo elise would be badass too. also the lotus holds its value wayyyyyy better than the S2000.

Mid-engine RWD you say? Get an SW-20 MR2 turbo. It's basically a poor mans Ellise; has potential if done right.

If its a track car you want, go Lotus. If you want something with a little more day to day driving, get the S2K.

Theres alot of elise/exige owners who swap out for a K20. Met a guy a few years back who was the first to do the swap. Said he had Type R motor #14. Anyways he had one NA and one supercharged. Things were monsters.

The first Elise's imported legally as street cars to the country removed the rover motor and stuck in a B18 from the type R integra, So a K20 isn't totally off the rocker. It had Honda powah before Toyota.
