Just got some batteries for my speedlight. WOW. Pointing it straight makes a huge difference. Heres a couple pictures I took. Comments and criticism please

Are these taking on auto mode?

I love change change your Exposure Value....b/c the picture of dog and backyard is little over exposure.

yeah. i think my exposure compensation is set to like -.3 or -.7 i think.

And are you still using the D40? Or have you moved up already?

2nd day using the camera. Sort of getting used to it. Love my SB600. Heres some of the better pictures ive taken today.

Dog is the only thing I can take pictures of in my house right now

I owned the Sigma 10-20 for a bit, it's a very nice lens though it's a bit on the rough side to use indoors unless you've got one of the newest cameras that handle higher ISO better.

For that shot I use Tokina 12-24 f/4

I would actually recommend this one

First this can support your Nikon D60 Second it had fix aperture at f/4 throughout all Focus zoom.

I know it little more but it worth the investment.


I would first get conformable with shooting and learn all setting and figure what you really as for lens before spend the extra money on lens. Because this can very pricey in the end.
