Just in case anyone's interested, Best Buy has an online sale on for Nikon D200's for $599 and they're going quick. That's a steal and worth a look. I just picked one up as a 2nd cam for backup, should be here maybe Wednesday or so.

That's a crazy price for such a good camera (and a brand new one at that). People are speculating Best Buy is trying to clear out all the D200s because the D300 has already stopped production through Nikon. If it's true I'm holding off on getting a D200 and just waiting for the D300 prices to drop like crazy when the D400 comes out sometime this summer.

Oh and here's a 35mm ƒ/1.8 AF-S shot, this little gem right here is probably the biggest reason to head to Nikon for DX cameras.

dammn that lens looks nice.
50mm 1.8 is great for car shots, but i haven't really used it a lot yet.

hmm...i can get a d40 kit and 55-200mm vr from crutchfield for $579.
My birthday is in like two weeks, but maybe i'll order it early.

i kick myself everyday for not picking up a d60 from circuit city when they had em for $420.

I thought something like that b/c of the square catchlights in the first shot.

I just picked up a whole mess o' lighting goodies myself -- stands, umbrellas, softboxes, and a set of PocketWizards. Was playing around with it all the other night, added a little PS massaging, and came up with this:
