Unless you have a use for the extra dynamic range then there's really no point to them. If you've got very dark darks and very bright highlights in the same image then HDRs are good. If you just do it for the look, even though the dynamic range was within your cameras capabilities then, meh. I've only done one HDR, and only because the dynamic range of the original image was too much for my D90.

arisenfury... i like that one a lot. I think it looks pretty natural. the sky kinda gives it away though.

could be a GND filter placed up really high..

adding myself to the list.. of camera fellows,
i have a gp point and shoot cannon s3 IS that has taken maybe 10,000 pics (20 or so gigs) and I recently picked up a connon xsi with the 18-55mm lens and a 75-300 with a new tripod for 600 bucks...

dude that camera is insane!!!

here is my rig:
we now have metal clamps holding the pole to the suction cups though now

ghetto, but 30 dollars, and it works!
so whatever!!

i didn't think it was going to work.

just a paint roller, with a hole drilled through it, and the end of a tripod mounted.

Yea the 5d mark II is really nice, I had chance to play around my buddy's 5D...

Funny thing is I use the same clamps for my rig too! I'm still awaiting for my magic arm from manfrotto to connect the head to the aluminum pole...but it a pricey arm too...

100 dollars is quite pricey, considering the whole thing we spent 30 dollars on haha
