Official "Hard at Work" Thread.

LOL, the lady that sits behind me made a rate change on a group with a little over 300 bill groups, and she did it wrong, which makes double the work for me, in the first place, but since she had to correct it once it made 4 times the work. To make matters even worse all the incorrect invoices were sent out the first week of June, so now I'm folding and sending 300+ letters to this group in Brooklyn telling them to call me with questions, which is now 6 times the work originally planned to do a simple rate change.

i deal with noobs too
it doesn't matter where your at you gotta deal with idiots that make it harder for you
best thing to do is just take a deep breath and deal with them accordingly

Nah, its usually laid back here, we hit peaks where we get slammed, and then we go through the valley where its dead. This is the second largest billing cycle of the year so we're kinda busy.

what is this thread about? work? haha this week kinda sucked...been workin in an apartment complex the past 2 days on the top floor army crawling through an attick with about 3 feet clearance and a lotta pipes/wire through it. blown fiberglass insulation that you have to push/nearly swim through....very itchy when the day is done. and on top of it all ive had poison ivy for a week from a job a week ago ;/ haha oh yeah and its hot as HELL in attics...

ah cool. i got lots of stuff/people to complain about. electrician, so new situations every day(different jobsite every day, different customers...).
i was workin in somebodies house a couple days ago with my helper. we were installing a outlet in their bedroom, they left us alone for a couple hours, left 2 20$ bills sitting on their nightstand(i know they know they left it there, they enterered the room a few times before they left)...we didnt touch any of their belongings but move their bed so we can work. ive never stole anything from the job and know my helper wouldnt steal from anybody. the next day we both get a call from our office asking us if we know anything about the home owners missing ipod. we never saw/stole an ipod. i really hate how everybody thinks construction workers are slime. some of us are decent people, but people always treat us like trash. lame!
ive even had home owners leave a couple pieces of toilet paper in their toilets to see if we used their bathroom while they were gone(if the tp isnt there they know we used it)...how lame is that...we arent even good enough to use the same bathroom as them.

I know the feeling, I worked at a dealership as a tech for a while, you'd get people who would leave money under their floormats to see if they could catch one of the detailers or porters steeling from them.

At least its going to something, I'd rather hear about tax dollars funding a hot dog eating competition than funding some lard ass on the side of the road falling asleep holding a sign.
