Omg!!!

So Im leaving for work this morning. Same routine; I start my car and let it run for about 5min before I leave.

I get in, leave my driveway and proceed out of my neighborhood. I cut through the neighborhood across from mine to get onto Colonial/SR50. I pull out and floor it. Went like this:

Disclaimer: Not actual sounds of Fit. Use your imagination.
Whann, whannnnnnn.. WHAAAAAAAAAAA *shift to 2nd* (Errrt) WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *shift to 3rd* (Errrt) WHAAAA *early 4th*

OMG!!! I chirped 3rd in my Fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is all.

What power mods do you have? and how was the road surface, it looks like you already have some nice sticky tires so I'm trying to fathom how this is possible. As many times as I've tried I can't chirp 3rd on the stock rubber in dry conditions.

CAI, T1R cat-delete, Modacrap B-pipe, Netami TwinLoop. Also T1R volt stabilizer, ignition booster, and grounding kit. Almost 19,000miles too.

Road surface was smooth, repaved probably 5-8yrs ago. This morning was a little humid but cool out.
IDK how it did it. Ill tell you the clutch grabbed hard core in 2nd and also in 3rd for the first time. I havent tried to do it again.

Im not a bad driver. People tell me when I beat on my Fit the rear tires squat like crazy so I guess that tells you I shift like a mad man. I power shift too.

Another thing I thought was weird is that yesterday I tried to chirp 2nd which is normally not a problem for me. It didnt do it yesterday.
And then today I rip 2nd like no other and get 3rd too.

My g/f chirped 3rd too... was going about 30km/h in 2nd and for some reason or another decided to puch in the clutch, floor it to 5000rpm and dump the clutch.. got more than a chirp...

when you shift without letting off the gas.

getting it to chirp third is not that hard i can get it about 50% of the times i try, the key not red lining the car, just get the rpm at the peak of the torque band when you shift. but still i see no point in doing it though just kills your car that much faster

Its very easy to powershift a car with no power and smooth gears. My Mx-6 on the other hand is very hard to powershift. The gears are also notchy as hell and the clutch is stiff.

My friends RSX-S ran a best time of 14.2@98mph with him driving.
I drove it, powershifting and clipped a 14.1@101mph with a worse 60 foot.

I let off the gas slightly when powershifting. Reduces missing gears

I chirped 2nd and 3rd once when I drove my Fit hard. I was on stock wheels and tires though, so grip isn't that great. Plus it was cold outside so tires were much stiffer than normal. Still cool to hear it though haha...

I hope you guys do realize that "power shifting" does 1 of either 2 things depending how you do it. If you you stay on the throttle and clutch dump it will slow you down. The fit has very soft engine engine mounts and all your accomplishing is a little tire chirp and a wehole lot of drivetrain lash. Meanign that all your doing is making your engine flop around in your engine bay and your car jerk.

Second thing it can do is if your feathering into the clutch while under power it will make you a tiny bit faster at the expense of you clutch. and if you do it often you'll glaze your clutch and it will again slow you down.

rev matching still wins all the time.

Hahaha... The last pic. I remember the first time I saw that vid with the ArielAtom. "IIIIII AMMMM AN ALIEN!!!!!!!"
Im not saying I beat my car to hell all the time because I dont. At least 2-3 times I week I do open her up and give her some speed. Mainly when my gas gets low.

I do that too, but not as often...er..well, ok, as often :-P And the Fit's mpgs don't suffer! Maybe the Fit is also an alien using alien technology?
