That just goes to show the system just counts posts showing not posts posted.... I have posted over 3,000 over the three years I have been here but deleted 2,000 or so of the real old ones. Looks like I should have left them up.

You deleted your old posts? Why would you do that. Yea the system only keeps count of active posts. I tried that idea a while ago. I guess it makes sense.

LOL everytime I try and rep you jd, it keeps telling me I need to rep other people which I've already done hahaha...too bad

Thanks to everyone who's helping me reach 8! I'm 18 points shy BTW, I did get two admin reps before, so I can attribute a good portion of it to them

You will need either 50 reps or 1000 posts or 1 year on the site actively to get a rep point

And this is how their rep system worked.
Rep Guide - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum

After reading, just think that one is worth 6,000 points, and some members had more than 4 's. Ridiculous.
Just another reminder to keep the rep swapping to a minimum. I mentioned it early on in this thread. Once it gets out of hand, there isn't a lot that can be done about it. 8th gen is not the only site to disable rep becuase of it, and it gets a lot worse than just people begging for rep. Spam, multiple account users, and even incidents of spilling over to real life off of boards have occured. Sorry for the rant, back to the birthday celebrations.

If anyone wants rep points they can take a video of their aftermarket exhaust and post it in my thread. You gotta work for it!!!!! Actually, there are a few people in here that i have given rep points to for videos already. I owe PwRmAd more, but i have to wait until i can give him more.

This thread has made me lol a whole lot. I was afraid to post given my uber-intimidating 0 reps. ( i was close to one point, then i got neg repped, so you guys are right in saying that the visible number tells only some of the story.)

At any rate, i agree with snap fit, regardless if you have rep to spread or not, its good to give people feedback...you could be the most helpful person in the world and have neg rep, or be a total douche and have 9 pts.

and i'm all for returning it. its just the proper thing to do!
