Assholes!

damn it! Is the fit like a scuff or ding it magnet or something? I never notice those things on my civic (maybe cuz I can care less for the civic).
But someone hit my car today at work. I had it park and when went outside to stare at my care for a while (you know you do that too, stop laughing) I saw a hit on my front bumper on the corner like they did a sharp turn and scuffed my bumper BAD. I mean theres paint peelled off everywhere. Why do people do this shit. That's ****ed up.

the thing is I will have to leave it that way. I don't want to pay the deductible for this (500 or 1000 i forgot). The thing is now that it's scuffed/peelled badly it will now start to get worse. >(

if it's worth it to you to have it fixed so it DOESN'T get worse, then paying the deductible isn't a bad idea. in the future if you decide to get it fixed it will end up costing you much more than your deductible would.

i'm sorry you have to even have that happen, i know how much it sucks

my deductive is $1K! That's why I don't wanna do it through my insurance. Hopefully the army airfield lot has insurance that will cover this. MP are on their way to do a report.

Maybe you can purchase a new bumper cover? I'm sure you can order one from Honda in your car's color. The installation/removal of the bumper covers (front -or- rear) takes less than 3 minutes.

Junior40er -

Here's a link to purchase the front bumper cover: Bernardi Parts

Part# 04711-SLN-A81ZZ
Description: Honda FACE, FR. BUMPER (DOT)
Retail $200.30
Price $146.62

I hope you are able to get a bumper in your factory color for cheap. If the above bumpers come in factory colors (pre-painted) - that would be CHEAP! I'd contact them and find out.

Let us know what happens.

Sorry to hear about your car getting hit! That is really bad that someone did that damage and just drove off without a care in the world. I am lucky at work because I park my Fit in between a Volvo and a VW Jetta - we are all gearheads and love our cars. So I don't have to worry about my car getting dinged up. I go to work an hour early every morning to get this spot and everyone hates to go with me shopping because I park it in the back 40.
