spring install

anybody have a spring compressor and the proper tools wanna help me install my springs this weekend? that is if my buddy from work cant help me out...he said he would but i am starting to think he doesn't want to anymore.

You can borrow tools from Autozone for free, if you need. Actually, I don't remember even needing a compressor when I did mine.

yeah i've read some people didn't need one, but i have never swapped out springs before and do not want to be suprised when i pull it out. and friend who has the tools doesn't want to do it without one either. i will check into autozone tho. thanks.

The nut after it comes off will jump 2 feet at the most. Just don't loosen it with the shock pointing upwards at your face.

I used the spring compressor just because it was my first spring install. I didn't want to lose an eye or probably my face lol I'm sure if you do it in a secured location on the grass and use something to hold it down you wont need the compressor. When i was installing mine before using the compressor i was gonna just lay it down in the grass and just stand on it lol but i thought about it.
