Honda Windward- See Gunnar
In Hawaii the supply is very very low and the demand is very very high.
As a result most FITs are sold at least $3000 over MSRP or worse. Most wait times are 3 to 6 months or worse.
Most dealers don't care how much you have to pay or how long you have to wait. Just make your deposit of at least $500 and take your place in line like the rest of the buyers.
In fact in July when I went shopping for a FIT I had to give up and buy a CIVIC sedan instead with a one week wait.
If you have Costco membership or even if you do not-
Give Gunnar Hartner at Honda Windward in Kailua Hawaii USA a call.
He can try to get you a FIT in a few months for about $2000 over MSRP.
I know that doesn't seem like much of a bargain but in Hawaii that is about all we have to work with. He sells almost all of the FITs that arrive at his dealership- only 3 to 5 per month.
He still have no control over base Fit vs Fit Sport or AT vs Manual transmission.
He's easy to reach and work with. I recommend him highly.
He handles only Costco sales.
Thumbs up to Honda Windward.

Fit is still very popular in Hawaii.
Gunnar says there are very very few Manual transmission Fits and low demand from buyers.
Mostly he sells Fit Sport with AT and most popular colors are silver and white.
The dealership gets about 3 to 5 each month. Most are presold to buyers willing to wait for the right colors to arrive.
For Hawaii he suggests a light metallic color for best durability against fading in strong Hawaii sun over 3 to 4 years. Dark Blue and white tend to fade unless kept waxed and clean.
Current demand is less than last year so $1000 over MSRP is workable. Most salespeople want to charge more than that.
He can be reached at (808)371-4765. Tell him Brad sent you from Fitfreak.net.

Yes but shipping from midwest to west coast runs about $800 to $1000 door to door then another $900 from West coast port to Hawaii port.
Rough cost in the range of $1800 total and about 2+ weeks with potential damage along the way.
When you buy a Fit you already have to pay $595 for delivery charge. Seems like a waste to deliver it then ship it elsewhere.
