Well, I'm not counting the dealer options. I'm getting the 16" HFP rims/tires, all season mats, cargo cover and bumber protector.

I'll probably have little to no chance to check out the handling of the 16" rims when I get the car - I put the snow tires on both my wife's Accord and my Civic last weekend, which was a good thing - terrible snowstorm this evening! When I pick the car up in 10 days or so, I might just have to have the snows on right from the start!

My dealer is making me buy the wheel locks for $69.00!
Also, how much are you guys paying for the floor mats, cargo cover and fog light tint ?? I have been checking out the aftermarket items, but if anyone has any advice, I'll take it...
Seems like I am getting the car next week sometime...

Visited dealer on 10/14/06.
Pickup up my Blue Sport AT last night (11/2/06).
Original customer for the car decided (got persuded?) to buy an in-stock Civic. Two people were "in line" before me but didn't want blue. Red was my first choice but the blue looks great too. I drove the car of the lot with 5 miles on it.

Some dealers are forcing it's customers to buy a ton of "dealer installed" options. Check out HondaAcuraWorld.com.

They're Honda parts, cheaper than your local dealer and they offer free shipping...

Awesome! Yours is older.

Since my dealer adds an additional $599 as a dealer fee, I wonder if I can get them to throw in some accessories? So I dont have to pay that full dealer fee. Im thinkin some mats, sport grill (then I can color match it) and wheel locks.

I think a dealer fee is bullshit if Im not getting the color I want and Ive been waiting.

Hi Guys !!,
I was super lucky !!! I had gone in just to check the Honda Element but too expensive and front seats to uncomfortable for my big frame!! Then I saw the Honda Fit in the show room floor and it was love at first sight !!! I bought the silver storm A/t Sport Model. I wanted the manual tranny but they were out of them and they did not know when the next shipment would be in. The salesman made me an offer I could not resist , He sold me the automatic model at the same price as the 5 speed!! I love the car !!Thanks Honda Triangle!!! No problems with paint chipping on bumpers yet!!!ANGELMAN ALL THIS TOOK ABOUT 3-4 HOURS !!!

Went to the dealer today to get my final 'buy order' sheet so I can have my financing complete for pickup. There was a Black AT Sport all shiny being picked up at the time. I was jealous, but still glad I waited for the MT. Had to sit thru the 'add-on' speil (ie. undercoating, paint sealer, etc) which I declined. My dealer only charges $198 dealer fee which used to be $399. I got to see the sheet with my car on it and that it arrived in the states on 10/31 (funny since its a BOM on Halloween). Should be a couple weeks to pickup. Should be $16,954 out the door with sport muffler and bumper applique. I got my all season floor mats today from Bernardi Parts. Very good prices but they did go up slightly from last week. Thats what I get for waiting to order. Got the HFP rims as well. And the Honda wheel locks. All at way under what dealer charges thru Bernardi.
Dealer also told me that they too have stopped taking orders for MT's. Mine was the last accepted for them with 8 others waiting behind me.

Thanks for the web site jdlopez, the free shipment sounds great!!.
Turns out my fit is now in Ohio...Also my dealer says the next manual sport he is expecting will arrive in March! He is also getting 3 others additional to mine, for Philly, DC area if you are interested I can give more information.
I should ask for something additional since the paper we signed has the ETA as OCtober on it, but they gave me a fair price of $16,429.00 as the final price tag, so maybe I will be asking for too much??

Hmmm. With mine 60 cars behind yours, maybe mine will arrive ahead of schedule! i.e. next week.

That would be cool. (understatement of the century....)

Exclamation FYI: South Florida Fit Seekers!

Just got a phone call from Miami Beach Honda this morning. I was told that they got 5 Fits last night and all are up for grabs. These are the same guys that wanted to tack on $3000 in dealer options last month. The sales guy "alex" assured me they're selling them @ MSRP.

I bought mine through Largo Honda last month, so I'm no longer in the market...

Picked up our Storm Silver Sport Auto on Friday 11/3, exactly three months after we put down the $500 deposit on 8/3 - - long wait but my wife thinks she's going to really like her new little car - - got it at MSRP with carpet floor mats, door edge guards, wheel well trim, and pin stripes all thrown in for nothing - - we didn't really want all that stuff, especially the pin stripes but after a couple of days now it's growing on us.

it's taken over 6 months for my local dealership to get a Fit in, and it ended up being a base model AT...so, i decided to just enjoy my 97 Civic a little more, and keep waiting till the right one shows up. if they get a Storm Silver Sport MT, i'll be all over that bish the wait up here in North Dakota is long, mainly because I live in a small town, like two hours north of Bismarck.

I ordered my Sport Fit with Automatic and Beige interior on June 10, 2006 from Rudolph Honda in El Paso, TX. (I live in ABQ. NM and the dealers here were price gouging.) I'll pick it up November 11, 2006 , five months later. I had to put a $500 deposit down.
