They had 2 of the car I wanted on the Lot at one particular Dealership but none elsewhere. I chose one, took 2 weeks to decide/debate then bought it.
Wait time: none
Stress Level: Extremely High
Salesman: Hated the sight of me
Other Staff: very nice

SSM FIT Sport with Paddle Shift. I didn't have to wait. I drove up one day, put a deposit down ($500) and it was mine the next day.

PS: I bought mine in Vancouver BC Canada from Carter Honda, which by the way, are RETARDS!!!

My Milano Red AT Fit is finally here after 3 months and 12 days!!! We picked it up on Friday, then had to let it sit for the weekend as we endured a nasty winter ice and snowstorm. Yesterday I finally got to drive around quite a bit. It handled beautifully in the snow and ice. What a fun car to drive!!! I am so pleased so far. It was definitely worth the wait!

Margaret, Just curious, who did you get it from, someone in Des Moines, or Jordan in Ames? I'll have to keep my eyes open for you when I'm out visiting my sister, she's in Randall. We've got a Blue AT Sport and love it so far.

Hi Josh -

We bought our Fit from Matt Sokolowski at Holmes Honda in Des Moines. He was great! I hate to say that the dealer at Jordan Motors in Ames wouldn't give us the time of day. Too bad, we were ready to make a deal.

I haven't seen a Blue Fit yet, so I'll watch for you. The blue is beautiful! We've seen several other colors around town, but only in the last two weeks or so.

Enjoy your Fit!
Margaret

They had one in stock when I went in!

Was nice, because all the other dealers in the area I would have had to wait.

Lightbulb Dallas Dealers

Hey all. I'm in the market to buy a A/T Fit (Blue or Black not sure yet)

and would like to know if anyone has had issues with dealerships in the Dallas Metro area. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Bom M/t

BOM M/T
Ordered: 03/06/07
Deposit: $500.00
Got a call the next day to say it will be end of April as this combo wasn't availabe at any other dealers for a trade . Good news is it will be fresh off the boat in it's shrink wrap.

This is my first new car. The wait is killing me.

I'm sorry you had to wait so long for your car. I've been wondering for a while now. What does "bom" mean? Thank you.

Oh the irony!

As I said before I didn't have to wait for mine, they had it in stock...

but now I have to wait for it, because of the accident.

sigh.

at least taxes will be here in time for some mods.

Still Waiting

I ordered a Fit from Martin Main Line Honda in Ardmore (near Philadelphia) on Feb 26, and was told they had a blue sport automatic (exactly what I was looking for) coming in in 2 weeks. I put down a $500 deposit. I also got it for only $100 over invoice from this dealer ($16007 plus tax and tags and a vehicle replacement policy if it's ever stolen, for a grand total of 17817) when other dealers wouldn't budge at all on price.

On March 12, I was told it would be in on March 20. On March 20, I was told it was scheduled to be in on March 27, but will likely come in sooner.

On the 21st, the dealership received a large shipment of Hondas, but two were not there, including mine, so I am still waiting.

Based on other posts in this thread waiting a month isn't so bad, but having to wait another two weeks after it was promised to me is just frustrating!

Since my current car, a 94 Ford Escort, has broken down so many times, and is on the verge of breaking down again, every day I have to wait for my Fit is another day I might get stranded without a car! Good thing I am a AAA member!

I got my car's VIN the day i went to the dealership. Does this mean anything other than the car already exists?
